Lucas Oil 10009 Transmission Fix

My 18 year old Lexus started jerking, or even slamming between gears. It's an automatic and had always been silky smooth, I thought it might be time for the scrap yard. I had heard about this Lucas product and thought well it's only a few quid, what have I got to lose? The gearbox oil in my car was not low so we drained 3 litres out, added this Lucas product along with the some fresh gear oil. When I started driving it again, it was improved straight away, but as time went on, it got better and better and after a few journeys, the gearbox was back to its old self, silky smooth and no more jerky changes. I don't know how this stuff works but it does.

VW 5speed tiptronic 09a transmision was having clutch lock when i sttoped on the ocation after fitting the Lucas Oil Treatment and after around 6weeks the gearbox has improved with better gear changing and the clutch locking has been less frequent.

I took out 710 ml of oil out of the automatic transmission, then put in the whole bottle of lucas oil. It took a while because its like sirup. It was very easy. I took the car for a ride, and noticed a small difference. After 10 minutes the difference became much clearer but the real improvement came the day later after driving a mile or 10. It goes to the second gear before hitting the 2000 rpm, and does so in every gear. ANd it no longer jerks. It did what it promised. Delivery time to Belgium was fast and correct; I give this product 5 out of 5.:UPDATE: after about 4000 miles, the problem came back.

I observed that the transmission noise is somewhat quieter than expected. Aside from that, I have no additional evidence to provide. However, it's important to note that the liquid is quite thick, which means it takes longer to pour into the transmission or differential. Please keep this in mind. I brought one extra for Subaru XV rear diff. Hopefully make the rear diff quieter on the highway.

Used on a Honda CR-V which has never down-shifted to second of it's own accord since I have owned it, despite several fluid changes. Gearbox always hard shifted up to second (presumably aged bands).Used this stuff and whilst it hasnt completely erradicated the problem (and it does state this on the bottle) it has made a considerable difference. So much so that I've ordered a second bottle for my new Auto vehicle.As others have stated - it is thick - VERY thick - so warm it up in a jug of boiling water first. I emptied the entuire contents into a funnel and closed the car bonnet to generate some heat which assisted in it flowing down the filler (dipstick) tube.I have used other products, namely lubegard previously which did nothing - this worked.You will need to remove a sufficient quantity of the existing ATF fluid first of all either from the drain plug or simpler still, by syphoning out of the filler (easier to measure using this method).If you have nothing to lose like I did then try it - you might be surprised.

As a last resort before taking my car for potentially a full transmission repair , now i don’t think it’s the case anymore. As long as there’s no mechanical damage i said that it’s worth a try. Did a quick test drive and there is absolutely an improvement, not major as im guessing i should still drive a bit till the fluid reaches everywhere and i did only half a bottle, but i can see why it’s Sooo reccomended.

When my ancient Honda started slipping between gears on the drive back to campus, I kinda panicked. My roommate told me to try this Lucas transmission fix before paying a shop. The bottle is small but I just followed the directions and poured it in after a quick Walmart run. shifting felt smoother after like two or three days of driving around town. I’m not pretending it cures everything, but for my broke college budget it’s nice. i can actually merge onto the highway now without the car freaking out, and that alone made me really glad I grabbed this.
