I just got this torch. I was looking for an affordable EDC light that didn't require exotic batteries or constant recharges, would provide good light, and wouldn't break the bank. This one looked like a reasonable option, but for £9.99, I was ready to be disappointed.
This torch is a pleasant surprise!
This little light is a powerhouse and it delivers quality at a fraction of the price you would pay for one of the mainstream pro-grade lights.

It is extremely bright. It seems to be well-made. The adjustable lens doesn't rattle, although I suspect it might loosen up over time. The belt clip is very positive. The light stays where I clip it. It puts out a lot of light for only having a single AA battery. The light is bright. The lens can be focused from a wide spotlight down to a tight point. It has a dim function (I don't personally need it, but I guess some people might) and a strobe function. I never appreciated lights with strobe functions until one was pointed at me. If it's dark and you light someone up with a strobe, they're not going to see anything else. With a fresh battery, you will utterly blind your target.

I did try a couple torture tests, just out of curiosity. I turned the light on and dipped it in a container of water for 10 minutes. It worked, but water got inside the adjustable cap, fogging up the inside of the lens. It worked, but the lens didn't clear, so I unscrewed the cap, removed the lens (its convex plastic) and O-ring, and wiped up the moisture. Its working fine now. Oh, I also ran the battery down on High to see how long it lasted. I got a good 5+ hours out of the AA battery before the light completely faded, so I was pleased with that too. So the batteries aren't eternal and it's probably not going to work when you dive the Titanic in search of the Kaiser's gold, but I think it's sufficiently strong enough to hold up to daily use.

If I buy another light in the future, it will probably be this one. I might even give one to my friends who appreciate practical gifts.

This torch is really bright on the bright setting. Blinding. We use it to walk the dog at night. It goes through AA battery in about 4hrs and then it is not as bright. It still works fine, but not things are not as brilliantly lit. I don't really use the dim or strobe settings often or at all. The dim is good when you don't want to blind people. It is small enough to fit in a pocket or in your hand comfortably. It can be comfortable should you need to hold it in a gripped fist. I am not a huge fan of the width of the light. It does work well enough to walk the dog. You can see what is in front of you on the sidewalk or focus in and see if there is something at a smaller area. We have used this torch for dog walking the past few days exclusively. It has been useful to see things around the house. The light has a bright area in the center then a circle of darker then a lit area around that. When you focus the beam by pushing the front of the torch, it goes into a tight small round spotlight. Oncoming cars might not like it directed towards them, as the few times I was holding it straight forward as we walked on the sidewalk, they flashed their high beams.

The torch is a great and compact for hikes; it helped me a lot during my 3-day trip along the Appalachian Trail before sunrise and after sundown, and was especially helpful while setting up a tent in the dark.This is my first torch, but a friend of mine did use the led lenser, so I am going to use that torch as a reference.What I liked:+ Again, it's really compact...+ ...therefore lightweight...+ ...and it only needs 1AA batteryIt also survived two drops as far as I can remember - but I guess the durability is something I can't really review after 3 days of use; the build quality is good though, and great considering its price.The torch also have the "zoom" function, which is nice to have when you want to spot the next sign. You also won't notice the torch if you clip it on your pants and hike for two hours. So it's really convenient if you want to have a torch around and save the time and effort of taking off your backpack, using and then storing the torch.All in all, you can't go wrong with this option if you are looking for a compact torch worth the value.
