Really informative
I found this subject fascinating, the book is well written too which of course helps with the understanding of concepts like this. For some, this may be a given but for me, I have always wondered what ADHD was all about. I assumed that it was some sort of hyperactivity but of course I was wrong and I'm sure other people have made the same incorrect assumption. The writing is good as I have said but so is the grammar and formatting which really helps not distract from the content. This is always something that I appreciate.I have zero doubt this book will be of enormous help to any parent that is curious or does indeed have children with ADHD. I cant imagine how hard it must be but there are resources like this out there so that is a very positive thing.

High expectations dashed
I did not find this book nearly as helpful as I hoped to. It mostly just scared me into all of the possibilities for my child that could go wrong as an adult if adhd is not managed & while there was advice there was not much by way of specifics which is really what I was looking for. I understand management for the future is imperative but the tools to use now are the most important as this is where we are NOW. The “highly explosive” chapter was okay but being that it’s the title of the book I expected it to be much more focused on this. Specifics in all areas are much more helpful atleast in my opinion. This is all info I couldn’t & have gotten off the internet. Disappointed because many of the reviews made it seem like an amazing resource but for me not so much

Gives you good insight on how to deal what's a ADHD kid in different strategies you can go about it
I recommend it for anyone that is looking for strategies I don't know how to deal with their kid it's really a book about encouragement more than anyting and just to stay positive with some of the situations you might deal with is the best of what I got out of it.

Helping your ADHD child
Being a parent can be hard, trying to parent a child who has ADHD can be a challenge. ADHD presents differently in boys and girls. Learn what ADHD is and what all of the symptoms are. A person with ADHD can often have things like depression, sleep disorder, OCD, ODD, etc. Learn what parenting techniques can be the most positive in an ADHD child, plus learn what therapy and medicine can help.

Great book on a hard subject
I have a few young relatives diagnosed with ADHD and this book sheds light on the struggle of the person diagnosed and the people who support that person. It is hard. But the book also shares lots to answers and great suggestions on how to deal with it. Great book.

Nicely written and very informational
I was curious to see if this went over the skills and techniques of already learned as a parent of 2 children with ADHD and was really impressed with how straight forward and understandable it was written. I actually learned a few new things.

Stunningly awful
Please do not spend money on this. In addition to containing only "basic" info (not all of which is correct), it has some recommendations that are unhelpful if not potentially harmful. It has not been edited well and looks like someone did a poor job copying and pasting paragraphs. As a licensed child psychologist, this was very concerning for me to read; if you want good information on ADHD, please look at anything by Dr. Russell Barkley who has been researching ADHD for decades. P.S. There is also no information about the author or her qualifications.

Good initial insight into ADHD
Considering this book was free I thought I'd try it, what did I have to lose. As a grandparent of a child who has ASD and has just been diagnosed with ADHD also, this has proved to be an informative read that made a lot of sense and rang true in so many ways.
