Quality wireless Keyboard/Mouse combination at a great price
TeckNet 2.4Ghz Full-Size Ergonomic Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo for Desktop With Multimedia Entertainment Key, Water-Resistant Keyboard Design-UK Layout An impressive keyboard & mouse for such a bargain price. I've had a few TechNet products of which I've always been surprised by their quality & attention to detail for the price asked - budget price, but not budget quality! The keyboard is full size & seems well built with a solid matt black plastic finish. The keys are slightly rough to the touch & are virtually silent in operation, they feel soft & precise to push down. Each key press communicates without error, even the softest keypress is recognised. The mouse is a good size & fits comfortably in the hand. I've had many mice in the past that have been either too small or just don't feel right. This mouse feels just right, it's neither too light nor too heavy. It glides along lovely on my TechNet mouse mat, the mouse pointer moves smoothly across the screen without jumping or jitters. The middle wheel has a very slight notched feel to it as you rotate it, so navigating up & down pages using the wheel is precise & smooth. I've used the keyboard & mouse for gaming too, they both perform well, with a switch on the top of the mouse you can change the DPi to give you all the sensitive control that you need in demanding games. I popped the receiver into my USB port & within seconds the keyboard & mouse were recognised & working. Communication was consistent. There is a small switch on the bottom of the mouse which turns communication on & off. If you stop using it for a short period it automatically turns off to preserve the battery life. just a click of the mouse or press a button on the keyboard activates it again. So the batteries should last a very long time - 2 AA for the keyboard 2 AAA for the mouse. I have a different wireless keyboard on my other computer that costs 3 times the price of this one, to be honest this keyboard/mouse seem just as good to me. A very good product for the price - Recommended!

Highly recommend
I’ve bought 2 of these for both work and home. I’ve had this brand before and can say that my experience has been that it’s high performing and excellent quality. The previous keyboard and mouse (same brand) I’ve had for a few years now is still going strong, I’ve only changed as that was a smaller keyboard and this one is full size. So far anyway I’m really pleased with them. Very responsive, sturdy and easy to set up. Just plug in the USB and it’s all set to go. I’d highly recommend.

Overall decent quality and good value wireless keyboard / mouse combination
I purchased this keyboard specifically for use with the Raspberry Pi and it worked first time perfectly although I had some difficulty with the keyboard mapping. The keyboard appears to be a different layout than UK, suspect US. Functionally the keyboard works well and has a reasonable feel, the mouse has a decent resolution and a nice feel to it. The media keys appear only to work with windows o/s and not the RPi... which is understandable and also I assume they must be hard-coded to perform specific functions and launch specific apps... I can't immediately see a way to reprogram these even under W7. Finally the Caps Lock light is so dim as to be almost unusable and as I have only had the product for 4 months, battery life cannot be properly judged, hopefully for at least another year. The delivery from BlueByte was efficient and quick with adequate but not over the top packaging. One small issue I encountered, and this is potentially a hardware or o/s native driver specific issue. I used this keyboard to scratch install Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on a Dell Studio 540s. The installation hung several times after 15 mins or so, cannot remember the exact failure point. I had previously installed the same o/s on this PC and eventually started to suspect the keyboard as this was the only change of hardware. Changed to a wired keyboard and voila, the install succeeded first time. After W7 installed correctly, the TeckNet keyboard works perfectly so this issue only relates to the install process. In summary a minor gripe and probably specific to the hardware o/s combination, but one to be aware of. For the price, at the time £10, you absolutely cannot beat this keyboard/mouse combination. I have given a 4 Star rating due to the US layout (not stated up front), limited documentation and the issues with W7 install.

Great value for money and good tactile feel.
There are lots of wireless mouse and keyboard combo kits available, but not many that work as well as this one for the price. I liked the fact that the USB dongle is stored in the mouse battery compartment - great for if you want to use the mouse and keyboard with multiple devices. I tried mine out on my Raspberry Pi and am very happy with it in use. Not sure what the battery life will be like, as I've only been using it for a couple of days, but I can't fault the functionality at all. The keyboard keys have a nice tactile feel. Not as good as a cherry mechanical keyboard, but I'd need to spend a hell of a lot more to get that. The keys have a good feel to them and aren't vague like many cheaper keyboards tend to be. The mouse works as expected with an ability to switch DPI sensitivity for movement. This is great when using it with the Rasberry Pi when there's not much surface area available to use. It is similar in function to my wired USB Trust mouse with DPI select function. The mouse tracked well on wooden surfaces, and magazines, but struggled with glass - but then most optical mice will if the glass is clean! So far so good, but I can't comment yet on the long term reliability. But for a good set of features, nice tactile feel and good wireless range it's hard to complain about this keyboard and mouse combo. I can recommend it to those on a budget.

Mouse and keyboard sync problems.
After buying a second hand logitech wireless mouse for the first time, I was amazed at the results, I figured It was time to upgrade my half broken old keyboard and get a wireless set, I didn't want to fork out loads of money though so this seemed like a good deal. It has been a very nice keyboard and mouse to use, however, and this is a big however, there are lots of persisting problems that occur when using the keyboard and mouse in conjunction, things such as: keys being stuck or lagging which resulted in incredible annoyances when using programs like Photoshop, as well as Gaming: the mouse is pretty much unusable, it stutters like crazy! It's like moving the mouse 5 cm to the left would ideally have a smooth transition from right to left, however it jumps to the left instead. I've found this doesn't occur if I use just the keyboard and my second hand logitech mouse, which leads me to believe there's problems when using the keyboard and mouse at the same time, very annoying and disappointing, but what can you expect when you buy a keyboard and mouse for so cheap? Otherwise the build quality of both is very nice and the mouse actually has a very obscure dpi button to change it's speed, I haven't fully tested the battery length but the mouse and keyboard have lasted almost a month so far and been fine. If you're looking for an easily portable but full sized set of keyboard and mouse and can stand slight annoyances and don't intend to game 'much' with this, I highly recommend it, otherwise I would probably look for a better but more costly alternative. Or even buy this just for the keyboard and option of a mouse if you need it in an emergency and buy a separate mouse, the keyboard is quite nice to use and I haven't had any problems with it when using it standalone.

Great Value
I work regularly from home and was frustrated that my wireless keyboard and mouse needed regular battery replacements, and the scroll wheel on the mouse wasn't working. It was time for replacements! My priorities were... (1) wireless - absolutely NO wires please! (2) full size keyboard with quiet keys (3) both keyboard and mouse to be frugal energy consumers - I did NOT want to keep having to find new batteries (4) reliable operation (5) value for money (6) as many additional features as possible Having read reviews, it was worth spending £13 for this keyboard/mouse combination, and I haven't been disappointed. The good points: - keyboard is well made, full-size and heavy enough not to move - the battery life on both keyboard and mouse is EXCELLENT. The mouse in particular is brilliant. It has an auto-sleep capability which saves battery life if I forget to use the manual switch. - connectivity was quick and easy - simply plug and play (Windows 7 professional) no issues - as a touch typist, the keyboard is responsive and gives good feedback - with the exception of the spacebar, the keys are pretty quiet - definitely better than the Dell keyboard it replaced. The spacebar isn't terrible, but it's definitely noisier than the rest of the keys - there are additional shortcut buttons on the keyboard and these ALL worked out of the box with my laptop without any problem The could be improved points: - the mouse has limited functionality - only scroll wheel and "DPI" button, which I think controls the mouse movement speed (however, at this price point I shouldn't complain!) - the slightly noisier spacebar (in comparison with the other keys) - there are volume buttons on the keyboard which work fine (volume up; volume down and mute) - as a right handed person I feel the up and down are the wrong way round (really not a problem, purely aesthetic issue) The bad points: NONE! For this price there is nothing bad! I've been using the combination without problems since September. No battery issues and everything working well. If you need a wireless keyboard/mouse combination then this is an excellent choice. Brilliant value!

Classic TeckNet being surprisingly good quality at such a low price.
Easily as good as keyboards twice the price, this set is a decent cheap alternative. If you’re using these all day everyday then you might have a few niggles - the keyboard doesn’t sit very angled, even with the legs folded out it still sits quite flat against the desk. The fold out legs don’t have rubber feet either so it’s getting it’s only traction from the two under the wrist rest - most of the time not a problem though. The mouse is fine and does the job pretty well - precision is adequate and its light and manoeuvrable. I tend to believe that you get what you pay for and to an extent this is true here - the build quality isn’t the same as the Microsoft Surface keyboard or the Logitech MX Master mouse for example but together they are 10 times the cost than this so they should be better built! Having said the above, this set is certainly not poorly made or feels cheap - the keyboard keys are nice to hit and typing is comfortable and frustration free. Having a single USB dongle for both the keyboard and mouse is great and frees up your USB ports. Separate dedicated media keys are a massive bonus for me as the vast majority of modern keyboards, especially wireless ones, combine F-Keys (F1, F2 etc) and media keys together meaning you have to choose which you use more often and have them as the default, using the function key to access the other thing that key does. I use F-keys all day though so having to hold the function key every time I wanted to pause music is a real ball ache. This is one of the few keyboards with completely separate media keys and I love it. Basically this is a great example of TeckNet doing what they do best - producing a perfectly adequate product at a fraction of the cost of competitors. It’s not top of the range but that’s more than compensated in the low cost and it’s a perfectly comfortable user experience and ideal for replacing your current wired desktop. If you’re in any doubt just do it and give it a whirl. TeckNet as a company are great and their customer service is historically extremely good.

Worth more than the price
Cheapest mouse keyboard combo I could find, but totally not cheap. They both work great for every day use. I sometimes like to lean back while doing school work and now I can throw the keyboard on my lap and still type out code while being lazy. Very comfortable and very good for the price. I bought two for two computers. Both work great. Highly recommend.
