not ideal for fish tanks but fine for ponds

Quick delivery and small but healthy plants. As usual, I placed these in separate tank (with a dose of snail killer) for about 2 weeks before moving them to my main aquarium. They have flourished and are much appreciated by my guppies. Update. I have just received another order and again, I am very happy. Delivery took just 2 days and the plants appear healthy.

I received 3 long strands and 2 short in a plastic bag. There was no weight and no instructions. I put them in my outdoor pond then read some reviews. In horror I read about insecticides, etc, and rushed out to wash my plants. They’ve been in the pond for 24h so I’m probably too late. I haven’t seen my fish to know if they are ok. I’d rather have snails eggs than insecticide and if that review is right then the plant needs to have a warning on the packet. I decided to weigh them down by tying them together and adding a stone to the string. Fingers crossed my fish are ok. The plants are fine.

Arrived green, healthy and well packaged in a moist bag. It lasts a long time in the pond.

If Amazon would let me give 0-stars, I would. Sadly, the pondweed I ordered originally arrived dark, slimey and with bits broken off. As I had never had this before, I assumed that was normal and rinsed the slimey bits off. I followed instructions, ensuring the stems were well wrapped before putting in the round weight. Within 3 days, the pondweed was mush, the water was cloudy and my filter was a disgusting state. I had to do a full water change, throw away the slimey strands and clean my filter thoroughly. My fish were all lethargic but are now better after the water change and removal of this pondweed. I contacted the company to double check this was for tropical aquariums as I had ordered another of the same plant for coverage (thankfully this 2nd plant arrived looking healthier and is doing better....the only difference I can see is it arrived with a foam wrapping and clip at bottom rather than a weight to attach and a cottony wrap). The company asked for photos of packaging and the plant. As I am relatively new to Amazon, it isn't natural for me to photo products but I WOULD HIGHLY ADVISE YOU PHOTO PRODUCTS AND PACKAGING ON ARRIVAL AND PLANT IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG. My concern was that the 2nd plant would see my fish off of it wasn't correct but the company have basically said they can't help me without photos....I just rinsed the majority of the plant down the drain and threw away a few bitty strands. At no point have I asked for a refund, I just needed re-assurance that this was a one off and plant #2 wouldn't kill my fish. Again, thankfully, 2nd plant is better but I would HIGHLY ADVISE PHOTOS OF PLANT AND PACKAGING ON ARRIVAL AND PLANT IF IT NEEDS REMOVING, EVEN IF IT IS SLIME IN FILTER/BITTY STRANDS. Due to the company's unwillingness to help me without photos (again, no refund was requested, just a check that the product sent was for tropical aquariums - I would expect them to know what they sent), I wanted to ensure that other customers were aware to take photos!!

Product itself was very well packaged by Lincolnshire pond company but they ignored me over a lengthy email I sent explaining my issue with pricing. It’s better value to buy 10 (from what I saw at the time) but they never answered me when I asked for an upgrade. Can’t tell whether amazon filtered out my messages or not, but I did send it and more than a month later I never got a single response. This plant grows VERY quickly and did actually start to melt from the bottom up, I think due to a lack of light (it was killing itself!!) but this was solved by gently pulling the brown dead sections off and discarding the weight. I had no way of easily pushing the live plant back into the weight, but it was handy at the start... I now leave the plants floating freely at the top as they can’t be rooted in the substrate easily. My dwarf frog loves resting at the top now by sitting on the branches. My betta also likes using the area as a cover- my filter is quite strong for it so I have used the plants now as a buffer and it has worked very well. Pictures show when I first introduced the plant, and now when I have left them to float along the top. I would say that overall I recommend this seller and product, it is a great oxygenator (not sure if this is a word but you get the point :D ) and my Amano Shrimp also finds it great for running up and down on. Hope you guys found this review helpful :)

La piantina è arrivata in perfette condizioni e con un imballaggio perfetto. Nel laghetto del mio giardino si è adattata subito e dopo qualche settimana si vede bene che cresce perfettamente in mezzo ai pesci rossi. Tutto ok 100%. Essendo sfilacciosa si può anche dividere e mettere in varie zone del laghetto o eventuale acquario.
