A sturdy, if somewhat unreliable, alternative to wall-mounted devices
If you're like me, you may not be able to install a wall-mounted can crusher. Maybe you're renting or you don't have the wall space, or you need your device to be mobile. This product is a serviceable alternative to a wall mount, but there are some things you should know before buying.First off, as you can probably tell, this device crushes cans along their width instead of by height (you get chunky rectangles instead of smushed cylinders). This will almost always result in the can's structure splitting into sharp edges at pressure points. Be careful when you handled your crushed cans!Second, the way the product is designed means that cans can slip out of place with relative ease. I crushed about two trash bags worth of cans of various sizes and, by my estimation, a can would come loose and need replacing ~10% of the time. This can be caused by the can already being slightly malformed, or by the user placing it slightly off-kilter, but it also happened sometimes everything seemed normal. It happened most frequently with pint cans, although I did notice it with regular soda and "Red Bull"-sized cans a couple times.I really like that it has a latch for keeping the device closed and locked when not in use. It's super slim and is barely over an inch when closed, which means you can store it just about anywhere. The build is sturdy and the design is ergonomic.Overall, I would recommend getting a wall-mounted device. If you can't manage that, this product is a solid 2nd option.

Amazing Product for Apartment renters!
I've always wanted to get a can crusher ever since i moved out from my parents but unlike at there place me being at an apartment posed some issues. I didnt have some sort of blank 2x4 board to screw one into to crush my cans the normal way.And after MANY hours searching i found out there were foot crushing ones. I then found this brand and it seemed to have the best reviews so i pulled the trigger. Its been a few weeks now and after some hiccups ive figured it out fully now. Some tips:- Crush the cans in the middle a bit with your hands. Then place it down so the crushed part is facing up. That way when u crush it its a clean crush and makes it as small as possible.Other then that tho its perfect well built and is pretty heavy duty and moves very little. Its annoying having to bend down every time but thats what u gotta sacrifice i guess if u want to crush cans in an apartment setting without somewhere to screw the old school can crushers to the wall or in your garage.

Game changer!
This is by far the best can crusher we have bought. We went through about 4 this year. Wasn't expecting much cause the price was cheap. It came in and we were very happy. Weighty and well constructed. Worth the price to make me able to recycle cans and save room!

Save your money.
It works, but I can crush cans better by just stepping on them with my shoe than I can using this. It's going back to Amazon.

My new favorite thing - Stress relief!
I got this to crush cat and people food tins and beverage cans because I need to make more space in my municipal recycling container. I didn’t want something screwed to a wall, and apparently I like stomping on cans (I just pretend the can is something I dislike!), and this is perfect. I have glossy hardwood floors. I put this on the floor mat inside and stomp - this doesn’t slide (it has anti-slip grips) and it doesn’t hurt my floors despite my heavy foot because it’s strong enough to crush without much effort. Placing the can/tin under the screw (see images for clarification) is key to a flat smash in one take. Food/drink debris can obviously get in this, but it cleans easily (I wad up paper destined for recycling and smash on that, and it conforms to the device shape, absorbing remnants). This is a fabulous find and I think this device is underrated. I get much more good stuff on Amazon than not, and this is definitely my best find recently! Get it for recycling and/or the anxiolytic effects of smashing cans and not mean people’s faces (ha ha)!
