I had been deterred from buying this product due to the mixed reviews. However when my 10 month old caught a bad cold (with a very congested nose) I finally bought it. And I love it! It has been so effective at removing snot (apologies!) from my babies nose. I do notice that sometimes nothing is removed but then an hour or so later lots can be removed and this is simply due to the snot not yet being ready to come out (just like adults noses, sometimes we blow our nose and nothing comes out yet a short time later everything is ready to come out). I would highly recommend this product. Sometimes i use saline drops a minute or two before using it however I can usually tell from hearing my baby sniffing etc that saline drops wont be required and I can simply just suction. Excellent product. Easy to use. Easy to clean.

Brilliant Info/instruction manual clear and simple and the thermometer so easy to use straight away with one press of a button I’ve used infra red and digital under tongue type but this is so much better Recently my GP used an ear thermometer and showed my normal at home reading was vastly inaccurate and my temperature was actually very high. This hastened the change to an ear thermometer

Easy to use and very child friendly, this was selected by my wife who is a retired midwife.

I wish I’d never bought this thermometer. I thought buying a known brand would serve me well. It’s no less than dangerous. It’s awful for the following reasons : * Incredibly inaccurate, it always reads less than it should (I used other thermometers to confirm). * It repeatedly shows different temperatures, even if you don’t take the thermometer out of the ear. I’ve also tried taking it out and putting it back in and it still reads various temperatures. I also tried leaving it in the ear several seconds before I pressed the button to take a reading and it’s still inaccurate. * It’s constantly showing and bleeping with an error code. I have to keep pressing the button to get it to clear. * It’s incredibly difficult to work out which bleeps mean what, wether it’s the error code, switching on or off or if it’s it’s supposedly taken the temperature. If you’re hard of hearing, DO NOT buy this device. Buy a version that will illuminate red for a fever. * My child is 10 yrs old and I find it difficult to get it sufficiently into their ear, which they find uncomfortable and get agitated because I’m having to repeatedly take their temperature in the hope to get an ‘average’ because it’s so unreliable. * The screen is difficult to read compared to my cheap oral thermometer I’ve had for years. The green screen on this Braun is rather grey/green and the numbers blend in too much. * This version of thermometers screen stays green even with a fever. When you’re stressed with a poorly child, having the screen go red is incredibly helpful. * You have to change the ear piece cover every time you use the thermometer. I did know this before I purchased it, but if you’ve got a frequently poorly person like I have, that cost will add up, especially when you’re having to repeatedly test at the same time because the readings are always different with this thermometer. I expected for over £20 I was committing to quality and a reliable thermometer. I was very wrong this time. For now I will stick to under £10 oral thermometers that work as they should and that’s far easier and safer to use. Sorry.

This is a must-have for any home. It provides readings incredibly fast, which is essential when you need a quick check. The design is comfortable, the interface is simple to understand, and it feels very high-quality. I trust the accuracy of Braun, and this model definitely lives up to the reputation. Aus der Not heraus mussten wir ein neuen Ohrthermometer kaufen, da unser altes (über zehn Jahre alt) Ohrthermometer von Braun den Geist aufgegeben hat. Kurz gesagt, das Thermometer misst zuverlässig und schnell die Temperatur. Der Vorgang wird von einem Piepton begleitet, weswegen man sehr schnell erkennt, ob die Messung geklappt hat oder nicht. Die Bedienung ist simpel und das Display gut lesbar. Die Spielerei mit lauterem Ton bei höherer Temperatur ist nett, aber am Ende liest man ja eh immer vom Display ab insofern braucht man das eigentlich nicht. Sehr gut finde ich, dass auch unsere Aufsätze vom alten Braunthermometer passen und wir hier nichts wegschmeißen mussten. Der Preis geht meines Erachtens nach auch voll in Ordnung. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
