INTEX 28273NP 4.5 x 2.2 x 0.84 m Rectangular Frame Pool - Blue

This is my first experience with a bigger paddling pool so thought I would leave a detailed review for other first time potential owners. I got the 4.5m long rectangle Intex frame pool. The pool arrived quickly. The box is on the heavier side so you may need someone to help you move it, but I managed to move it from inside to outside on my own just by ‘walking it’. I set the pool up alone and it was pretty easy, mostly. I sorted everything out prior to building it into their individual sections, the poles that need to be placed in certain sections around the frame top are all labelled with their corresponding letters (A,B & C) which is helpful. It said in the instructions to sprinkle some talcum powder onto the poles before putting them in the liner sleeves, this is apparently meant to help when dismantling the pool. I did do this however I’m not really sure if it will make a difference or not, just mentioning it so you can pick up a large but cheap bottle of talc prior to building it. Everything about building the pool was mostly very easy and straight forward. The only area I did struggle with is, a couple of the blue plastic T joiners were very hard to get on, most of them went on without issue, but 2 didn’t and 1 in particular I had to get a hammer to help me tap it onto/into the metal pole after trying for ages to get it on by hand. I was alone and so maybe it would have been easier with 2 people, or a strong chap but I did struggle a little with that, finally got them on though. All in all I think it took me around 1.5-2 hours to build it, but again I was building it alone and did have the issue with getting a couple of the parts on. I purchased separately the Intex filter pump, the larger one that takes the TypeA filters. This comes with separate instructions, is easy to set up and I have left some pictures and a review on that (also purchased via Amazon). The pool has been placed onto a concrete/brick patio. I purchased 2 large tarpaulins, 1 to go under the pool and 1 to use as a pool cover. The cover seems great, I use the tarpaulin and tarp bungees to secure it down, very simple, does the job and much cheaper option. The pool took around 6 hours to fill using a standard hose and the outside tap. This pool is absolutely massive, which is great and what I wanted, however just mentioning it as some people may underestimate just how big it is then struggle for space, it’s HUGE! And because it’s so big I would say you 100% need to buy the filter pump and some chlorine so that once it’s full you don’t have to empty and fill it all over again each time you want to use it. I separately purchased a chlorine floater with the chlorine tablets (also on Amazon and still waiting for them to arrive). I then bought a pool maintenance type kit which is basically just a telescopic pole with 2 heads, 1 being a net for getting surface debris out and the other a pool floor vacuum head. I got the Bestway one as it was around £10 cheaper than the Intex kit. Seems fine, I gave the net a go and it works well, haven’t used the vacuum head yet though. I thought I could get away with not having to also buy a pool ladder. My son is 9 and very tall for his age so thought it would be ok for him to just hop in and out. However, when I had to get in the pool when I started to fill it (to smooth out the creases on the pool floor), I struggled, and I’m 5ft8. So today I’ve also purchased the Jilong 2 step 84 pool ladder, also on Amazon and cost £25. This is the cheapest ladder and it says it can be used in pools up to 84cm side pool height, I measured and my pool is 80 so this ladder should do the job fine, hasn’t arrived yet so can’t comment further on it, but I do recommend getting a ladder as it will be tricky for kids and even adults to get in and out otherwise. I didn’t bother to buy the electric heater or the solar heat mats. The electric one costs an absolute fortune to run and has mixed reviews about its performance, and I didn’t get the solar mats as again mixed performance reviews and also the only place I would have to lay it out next to the pool is on the grass and I didn’t want to kill the grass underneath it. The pool is massive and really quite deep so this is such a treat. I highly recommend it but definitely suggest doing your own further research to see what else you might need. If you have kids under 10 this is amazing . I brought mine 3 years ago for £175 . I’ve seen them cheaper and I’ve seen them a lot more expensive . This thing has paid for itself over and over again . My kids have had a blast in this and so have there friends . It’s 15ft by 7ft And 85 cm deep. You will need a flat area with 2 ft either side for the feet . It’s sturdy as Hell when full and holds around 7000 litres . Unfortunately it doesn’t come with a cover which will set you back 30 pounds ( but you need one ) a solar cover is a good addition and you will definitely need a pump and filter . First year I had a 530 gallon one . Second year I brought a 1000 gallon one . The bigger pump was much better and quieter but it will destroy the filters if you leave them into long . Buy everything out of season because it doubles in price when the sun comes out . Big enough to swim in for a child and a good place to cool down as an adult . Worth every penny

Its BIG, easy to put up but make sure you have enough room for it. It only JUST fits in my not so big garden. Anyway, arrived quick enough (its Amazon what do you expect) and stayed in its box as summer was a bit damp. Been up for the last few days and its brilliant, sturdy and can fit 6 (grand) kids and two adults with no issues, can probably fit a few more kids (& adults) but seemed a bit weird asking the neighbors to borrow theirs. Things I had wished I had known before buying it. 1: why didn't I buy one of these before MUCH better (and more expensive) than the 10 foot ring ones 2: dont waste your money on the so called custom fit covers. They dont fit and its cheaper to get a tarpaulin (£10 wickes) and some elasticated tarpaulin ties (£2 wickes too) that covers the whole lot a load cheaper 3: BUY A FILTER PUMP it doesn't come with one and the 550 gallon ones (type A filter) not the 330 gallon ones - they arent man enough for the job. Currently under £30 (most need a 2 pin to 3 pin adapter) 3 days of moderate use and the waters already murky even with the kids wiping their feet before they get in 4: Buy a skimmer too mainly because it looks kind of cool and the kids can see all the "stuff" it collects currently £25 ish quid 5: Run the filter for at least 6 hours (8 to 10 hours recommended) it makes a difference 6: It takes a long time (6 hours in our case) to fill up - that a a LOT of water. 7: If you are on a water meter you can speak to water board and get a gimme on filling the pool up once I believe (then you really will want a filter) 8: If the kids are small - a ladder is a good idea - we had one from a previous year

If you looking at this please please don’t hesitate!!! Buy it now! So good for the money! The pool is absolutely massive could easily fit over 6 kids. Didn’t take that long to fill (6-7 hours) Was really easy to put up the pols are numbered and instructions and clear to understand. The Best Buy I’ve ever had defo recommend getting this pool! The only thing it don’t come with a filter you will 100% need one because it is to massive to keep emptying it and filling back up again and you might need to buy a little ladder for kids to get in and out because it quite high But overall the family loves it ! 10/10

Well. So far so good. Much more fun than the 12ft inflatable Intex pool we got last year just because it’s so much deeper. Took us a good 7-8hrs to fill sufficiently. Have ordered a ladder because it’s tricky in/out otherwise and a pump as with this much water you can’t afford it to go green. Just hope it doesn’t split. All in all a little over £200 for the complete package.

My kids love it. Since we will not be going on holiday this year and we now have a bigger garden I thought I’d treat them and it’s better than I expected. All the neighbours have been asking where we got it from. The price I paid was fantastic for what it is. My 11 and 12 year old helped assemble it and it didn’t take long at all. Filling it took a while as you would expect. I do have it on a bit of a slope as that’s the way my garden is. I put it on the flattest bit so it is at a slight angle but has made no difference to usage. I also got a pump and chlorine tables to keep it fresh. I would also defeat a ladder to get in and out but we just use some steps and a chair as my kids are older. I may get some in the future. This will definitely make out summer this year. Added: I managed to get this for £118 (must have been on offer) which makes it so much better

Fantastic! Set this up a week ago and the kiddos have been in it constantly. We had the smaller 2x4m last year but went for the bigger one this year so the kids had more room to play. My husband adapted an intex pool roller to fit and we purchased a 500 micron made to measure solar cover which keeps the water lovely and warm, it was about £80 from an online pool specialist shop and worth every penny. My one regret is that I didn’t purchase a pool ladder before the prices went up, we are using a two step plastic stool which is fine for the little ones but a bit tricky for the grandparents who both enjoyed a dip at the weekend. We have the intex 530gallon pump which takes the A size filters and use the clearwater starter kit to keep the chemical levels correct. Absolutely over the moon with this purchase, especially as covid calls for another holiday from home this year, lots of fun to be had in this enormous pool!

This is absolutely awful . I didnt get half of the things it said it would . I didn't get the repear kit i didn't get the ground sheet i didn't get the ladder and the pool cover .please rectify this and send me the rest of the not included things . Apart from that the pool is great and very big .

This pool was bigger than we expected and takes up a chunk of our patio, but we love it so much! We opted to not use a ladder and just have a step stool - works for everyone just fine. It is very sturdy and works perfectly for our family. We didn't check our patio to make sure it is level, but it turned out just fine! Took maybe 30 minutes to put it together with my husband. I bought a cheap solar cover and it works fantastic to keep the temperature from dropping in the water at night. It also keeps the stuff from the trees out of the pool when the wind blows. It was a game changer, as the water kept getting too cold. We have a 1" chlorine floater and I do two chlorine tabs at a time, always making sure when they start to get small that I add another two (a few days apart). I do have liquid chlorine ($5 at a big box store) and have added a couple capfuls after heavy use. But the floater seems to do fine! I did have to use quite a bit of chlorine stabilizer right at the beginning but it lasts for a long time. It takes forever to dissolve so I put it in a reusable mesh produce bag and tie it to the hose where the water comes back in to the pool from the pump. That way we can swim while it dissolves over a day or two in the moving water. I have all the other chemicals on hand (Ph up and down, baking soda for alkaline). But I have only had to use baking soda one time. I check the test strip every morning. A lesson learned - another reviewer said to make sure you have a few inches between the leg and the edge of the patio, which we did. It was fine at first, but a few days in, the leg went off the patio. When the pool fills, the legs spread! We put some wood under them and that works fine for this summer. I use a pool skimmer (pole with a net) to clean the surface and the bottom, however, I think a pool vacuum would be better for this size. I may do that next summer. We wish we had bought this years ago! We use it almost every day and our granddaughter enjoys it so much.

Commandé le 8/06 livraison annoncer le 14-15 et finalement agréable surprise nous avons reçu la piscine le 10. Bon emballage pour notre part, aucun cartons abîmés. Installation assez rapide, sur le manuel ils disent 30min c'est plus ou moins le temps que nous avons mit (le plus long c'est de tout déballer et assembler chaques parties) Elle est vraiment très grande on a peut être viser un peu grand mais les enfants s'amuseront bien

Der Intex Rectangular Frame Pool mit den Maßen 450 x 220 x 84 cm ist eine wirklich tolle Ergänzung für unseren Sommer im Garten. Gerade an warmen Tagen sorgt er für eine angenehme Abkühlung und jede Menge Spaß für die ganze Familie. Besonders positiv fanden wir direkt den einfachen und schnellen Aufbau – der Pool war in etwa 30 Minuten einsatzbereit, ohne dass wir großes handwerkliches Geschick brauchen hatten. Mit einem Fassungsvermögen von rund 7.000 bis 7.500 Litern bietet der Pool ausreichend Platz für mehrere Personen gleichzeitig. Egal ob entspanntes Treibenlassen, kleine Schwimmrunden oder ausgelassene Wasserspiele – hier kommt jeder auf seine Kosten. Auch unsere Kinder haben großen Spaß darin und wir können sie dabei gut im Blick behalten. Trotz seiner Größe passt der Pool auch gut in kleinere Gärten. Wichtig ist lediglich, etwas zusätzlichen Platz für die seitlichen Stützen einzuplanen. Nach dem Standortwechsel haben wir den Pool am perfekten Platz aufgestellt und seitdem steht dem Badespaß nichts mehr im Weg. Ein besonders wichtiger Punkt ist die Vorbereitung des Untergrunds. Dieser sollte eben und stabil sein, damit der Pool gerade und in Waage aufgestellt werden kann. Bei uns wurde dafür Kunstrasen unter dem Pool verlegt, was sich als praktische und saubere Lösung erwiesen hat. Der stabile Metallrahmen macht einen sehr robusten Eindruck und hält auch intensiveren Belastungen problemlos stand. Selbst bei wilden Wasserspielen bleibt der Pool stabil und formtreu. Die mehrschichtige Poolfolie wirkt hochwertig und widerstandsfähig, sodass wir lange Freude daran haben werden. Zusätzlich haben wir eine Sandfilteranlage angeschlossen und einen Intex-Skimmer verbaut. Dadurch bleibt das Wasser deutlich sauberer und die Pflege des Pools ist insgesamt viel einfacher. Das ist gerade bei regelmäßiger Nutzung ein echter Pluspunkt. Insgesamt überzeugt der Pool durch seine einfache Handhabung, stabile Bauweise und den hohen Spaßfaktor. Wir können ihn allen empfehlen, die einen unkomplizierten und familienfreundlichen Pool für den Sommer suchen – wir sind sehr zufrieden.
