Philips MyLiving Star 2 Bar Spotlight Ceiling Bar (Integrated 2 x 3 W LED Bulb) - White

It's double the price of a twin GU10 chrome spotlight bar. However, the light quality and spread of light is without doubt, much better. I know this as I've bought the cheap bar versions recently. The Hall entrance area is now lot with a warm bright, even light.This item feels great. The quality is obvious with powder coated metal and a really nice feel to the rotating lights. I love it. The narrow base made it the perfect solution for me as I needed to replace an old pendant hanging from a big plaster moulding in the hall. At only 60mm wide, it fitted like a dream.I had this fitted in under five minutes, using Wago 221 connectors. I'm not a spark but I may as well be as I do a lot of domestic electrics when renovating houses. These connectors are expensive but work well and save a lot of time. The Wago junction boxes are nice too.

These feel very well made, the only criticism I have is that there is not a lot of room in the back to hide the wiring, as such they are quite fiddly to fit. We have some of the four spot versions and these are much easier to work with. All in all a good product that looks good. Would be even better if the back plate for the spots was the same colour as the rest instead of black.

This light fitting works great, and gives a nice even light output. The only issue I have is that it is designed for wiring that is buried in a wall or ceiling, and has no provision for wiring entering from the side as I needed it to, easily enough worked around with some creativity though.

Very limited space inside the fitting for connections, so could be tricky to fit over a replacement ceiling rose if the cables are on a standard lighting ring connected in the existing rose (ie loads of wires). In my case, I took all existing cables up into the loft and joined them in a junction box, then just led a single 1.5 mm twin and earth out through the ceiling into this fitting. This would be the job of a very competent DIYer or electrician.The light itself is excellent. Nice warm white, very low power and used on the landing, I can leave it on all evening or night if I need to without worrying about the running cost.LED lamps are permanently fixed, so no changing them, but projected life of LED is long, so doesn't worry me.

Fantastic little lights. They provide plenty of light in my kitchen and look really neat. I read some reviews that they were difficult to fit, but my by husband found them very straightforward and easy to fit. Excellent product.

Very nice quality lights, with only one drawback: there is very little space which makes fitting a lot more awkward than it should be. The 4 lamp units are just the same. We have 2 of each, 2 and 4 lamp units.and no regrets. The oldest are about 7 years old now so the non-replaceable bulbs don't seem to be an issue. A bit expensive though.
