I’m very happy with my purchase. I bought the knife sharpener with my knives but didn’t realize it would become less effective as the wheel aged. After replacing the wheel, the sharpener now works like new, and so do the knives.

Useful replacement part for what is a good sharpener. I sharpen my knives weekly, and have a collection of 7 blades, so need something that I can readily maintain. Not incredibly economical though- you can replacement new sharpeners on Temu cheaper than the cost of this part.

You don’t realise how much you use the sharpener, if you follow the knife instructions. Easily replaced and makes a huge difference.

The design is simple and robust. I bought a spare sharpening stone so this unit should see me out. I like the fact that it won't be plastic land fill in a years time. My knives were new and sharp to begin with and it does a good job in keeping them that way. I can't comment on how good it would be on sharpening blunt knives.

Since the review below Robert Welch refunded me for the wheel, I purchased a new wheel with the refund which is much better. “I bought this as I have three Robert Welch knives which were razor sharp when new. This sharpener when used exactly as described in the instructions goes nowhere near providing that original edge. My son has a roller sharpener which is far better.”
