D'Addario EXL110 Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings, Regular Light, 10-46

These are fantastic go-to guitar strings. I'm a causal player and have no need for fancy metals and windings, but I do like reliability and durability. D'Addario's a good and trusted brand, and at such a cheap price I don't really see a reason for me to get anything else. As for gauge, I personally love 10-46 on my LP style guitar (same as the stock ones). Super easy to bend after a few days of the strings stretching and loosening up.

I changed from 9-42 gauge strings [ different brand ] and went back to these D’Addario 10-46 gauge, Why did I ever change gauge, so much better response and tuning stability with these strings, recommend them guys.

Great strings fast delivery

I like these guitar strings. 10’s; They’ve brought my Strat back to life. The Fender 9’s they replaced were only two weeks old but had to go because there was no response from top E and B strings The D’Addario strings need a little “bedding in” for 24-48 hours before they stay in tune. Very satisfied.

Great tone and lasts longer than other non coated strings - about a year in my case, with less frequent playing. I normally get Elixir long life strings, as they last me about 2 years across my collection of guitars. So, price wise it works out about the same

Set aside your personal preference for string gauge, D'Addario are without any doubt, well any of my doubt, the best electric guitar string maker. Over many years of playing I've used Ernie Ball, Markley and Fender and time and again I return to the XL's I've found snapping to and holding pitch happens reasonably quickly and easily. More important, as a sit at home and play player I'm interested in degradation, how rapidly do the strings degrade to the point of replacement. I'm not an especially sweaty player but none the less, sweat and oils from the fingertips will quicken the degradation of any string. I've found that the XL's seem less to hold up a little longer before the strings get to the point where replacing is the only course of action. Finally, on the lower register strings the coil wrap, whilst not being flat wrapped like some jazz strings, aren't so rough that you're in danger of ripping your fingertips to the core. They're cheap, last a good amount of time, depends on your sweatiness and how often you play of course, keep to pitch and not too expensive. Not much else to say - at this price try them out.

D'Adarrio strings have always been a favourite of mine. They sound great and last longer than most other brands. When these Ten Packs come on Amazon at a special price of $64au, with free delivery, then that works out at $6.40 a set. It doesn't get much better than that. You just have to buy them weather you need them or not because at some point we will need them, and we will have to pay more for them. If you play guitar then you are always going to need strings at some point, so I just buy them at this price when ever I can get them.
