Works well.
All simple, yet effective. Found it an odd method to activate it, though. Remove the backplate (details in instructions, too), held in position by four screws (screwdriver supplied). Find the out of the way mounted on/off switch, flip to on. Checked battery (1 x 18650 x 1500mAh), attempted to charge it but it was at almost a full state of charge.Re-assembled it, paired it (or thought I did) & it worked. Range isn't an issue for me, but that seems to be at least half decent.Quite a narrow beam angle, which is what you'd want for such a device (I have it for my front door, pedestrians walking by do not trigger it).Overall, a nice design, seemingly solid construction with a user replaceable battery (with a bit of fiddling).I intend to expand this system (unless I see a better/cheaper one, that is!).

Stopped working after three days, total and utter waste of money.
This item looked fine, seems quite well made but once I installed, the motion detector stopped detecting any motion after around three days unless its 2 inches from the PIR window...the detector was charged in beautiful sunshine for around ten hours before use and was installed a metre high as advised on our driveway and has had plenty of sunshine to re-charge but has just stopped working and quite frankly cannot be bothered to go through the grief of trying to send it back - utterly useless, don't waste your money.

Works great but does give false alarms.
This is a great value driveway alarm. Set up was very easy indeed and I had it up and running in minutes. Choosing the alert tone is probably the hardest part of it all though about 40 of the 50 options are awful and go on way to long.

it does what it's meant to
put this outside my back door, it alerts when the back door slides open and even movement inside the house if the back door is open, have to cover it if i'm in and out of garden otherwise the batteries will need to be changed in alarm unit, to charge pir unit it can be unscrewed from it's fitting and placed facing down in a sunny spot
