Casio Collection Unisex Watch

MR PINK LIKES IT
I have a number of Casio's in my collection and I did a lot of research prior to buying a calculator watch. This seemed to be the best option for the price, and it hasn't disappointed. It is sturdy, stylish and the normal functions of the watch work well. I use the calculator a bit even though my phone has one just to be 'quirky'.During my job I have to deliver a lot of packages to a lot of people. Depending on how much of my product they want I often have to make calculations quickly and on the spot. In my fraternity I am now known as "THE ACCOUNTANT", as we don't call each other by our real names for reasons I can't disclose. Mr PINK especially likes it and is considering buying one himself. The buttons are a little small on the calculator but the backlight and everything else works well. I take it off to shower after a particularly 'dirty' day at work.

Mine is actually waterproof 🙄
It was advertised as waterproof but nowhere in the packaging or on my watch did it mention any waterproof rating so I was a little disappointed in that but I liked the watch so I persevered taking the watch off every time I got in the shower and bath. Until one day I forgot to take it off and got in the bath, after 10 minutes I noticed & checked it out with no water ingress so I just treat it as waterproof now which it appears to be with no Ill effects.Just wished It had its waterproof marking on the back of the watch.Great watch I love the phone book and the calculator works great as well just wish it had a countdown timer.Once the straps break I’ll buy another because the straps cost as much as the watch.

A nice piece of functional nostalgia
A really nice watch, it is a good size on the wrist with a nice big display. It is comfortable however the strap does feel a little flimsy and short. Only time will tell how much abuse it can take.Very simple to set the time and date and has a good backlight for when it's dark. Overall a nice piece of functional nostalgia.

A modern retro
I love my old Casio databank watches. Call me old school, but I think they have a cool look that doesn't age but they're out of production so had to find something else and settled on this. When it comes to the looks.... well you're going to love it or hate it. It has all the information for date and time on one screen. The display is large and clear, so even with a quick glance you can see what it is you're after. I have to write the date frequently, so the clarity is a big must for me.The buttons can be stiff to operate, so you might have to press them a couple of times to get them to work. They also have ridge running across the middle that can be a bit uncomfortable if you have to press them too hard.As for the features, you have calculator, alarms (5 of them), stopwatch, dual time (so you don't call granny in Australia at 3am) and a database that stores any alphanumeric information. Basically this is a phone directory, but they won't call it that anymore as people will claim all their numbers are stored in their mobile. However, phones can go missing, or run out of charge, so I find it's a handy backup to have should I ever need it. Notable by its absence is the countdown timer that used to be a standard feature. Personally, I miss it but other people might never notice.Don't expect the alarm to wake you, its the same beeping noise you hear when pressing the buttons (which can be turned off) so quite quiet, certainly won't be heard in a busy place. Likewise, the light is adequate, but not outstanding. There is a very odd feature whereby if the watch is turned past a certain angle, the light will come on for 3 seconds. I'm not sure I see the point of this a during normal wear, you risk setting it off accidentally (although it can be switched off) which will ruin the battery life, which is given at 10 years, obviously this will be reduced the more you use the various features. On the whole, I'm very happy with it and it gets attention the way the more 'retro' watches do.
