This was a little more than I wanted to spend but now that I have it, it’s totally worth it. I’ve never had one that tested the nutrients in the soil. I love the rotating head, it looks nice, works very well, is very accurate. I will say, the soil has to be moist for the other meters to work. Obviously the light meter will read, but if you have a dry plant, it will not be able to read the pH and nutrient levels. But I very much recommend it, it seems very durable, so much nicer than any I’ve had in the past, and like I said, I love it has the nutrient reading.

I purchased a meter because it has a swivel head and I thought it would really be nice to know the alkalinity and acidity. I am very disappointed that the alkalinity / acidity function does nothing. I tested it on potting soil that was rich nutrients and also in straight sand the meter reading didn't change both read the lowest alkalinity. I know sand is not alkaline it is acidic. I'm going to keep it only because I like the swivel head and the moisture reading seems to be accurate.

This tool is a game changer when it comes to watering my plants. It is a must have tool for any plant parent. It has taught me so much when it comes to watering effectively and taking care of my plants. The 4-in-1 feature is fantastic and very useful. So easy to use and read the meter. The meter is very durable and easy to clean.

I have a small container garden on my deck that I thoroughly enjoy, but sometimes a plant or two will go belly-up for some reason unbeknownst to me 🤔😣. Over-watering...under-watering? Not enough sun...too much sun? So, I'm trying to deliver to my "plant-children" what they need to thrive! This is a very useful tool that has proven highly reactive in all categories it is designed to assist in monitoring....proper soil moisture seems the most critical in my experience...(along with monitoring for plants being root-bound, and pests 👀) ... Simple to use, I try to poke it in the same hole to prevent from injuring the root system. I always wipe the soil from the probe tip and place it back in the box it came it and handle carefully to avoid damaging it. It does come with a small postage stamp sized piece of fine-grit sand paper incase mineral scale develops. The pH scale on the probe need only go from 3 to 10 as this is the range typically seen in yards and potting soils; anything more alkaline is highly unlikely and generally wouldn't support plant life very long...I mean you're not testing liquids in a laboratory for Pete's sake...so it doesn't matter nor is it necessary to have the full pH scale available 🙄😒😆. I definitely can recommend this soil monitoring probe! Very useful! Thank you!

I bought this because I want to make sure that I water my raised bed gardens sufficiently and I am using a new soil mixture and want to check the PH to know when I need to fertilize. The moisture reader says everything is very moist, even when I can see and feel the soil being very dry. The ph Meyer is completely useless nothing registers at all. Don’t waste your money

Because I'm hoping to grow blueberries this year, I have been trying and benchmarking the various "N-in-1" meters. pH is the only important measurement for me. Several other meters had i) no change on the pH scale at all, or ii) at best, inconsistent readings. This one actually works pretty well (at least when I first bought it -- I'll hope it lasts)! Readings were: 5.0: Apple vinegar 6.7: faucet (well, non-chlorinated) water 6.0 to 7.0: soil from trenches Happy testing to you all!

Has been very useful for checking moisture level and nutrient meter seems generally ok. But the pH reading shows 7 on everything, despite other tests showing acidic levels

The old timers will tell you that these things don’t work. Well for new gardeners, knowing exactly when you should water has helped me a ton. I went from overwatering to watering much less and having excellent plant growth even in the heat of the summer. Just having a number I can put to moisture is a huge help for new gardeners. I also found my PH was a little alkaline, which I found out was not the end of the world. All of the functions work good, but I would say for a new gardener the moisture gauge is the best. Full water is like a 7 and watering needs to take place when it gets to 3. I’m in zone 7a. High mountain desert. In the heat the of the summer I’m watering every 3-4 days instead of overwatering every other day. I also like that the head moves so you can see it easily.
