Q: Does the Japanese saw cut fast?

Greetings: I’m a fan of Japanese style saws. The video I posted was a cut on seasoned dry red oak. And I applied no pressure. The cutting edges are very sharp and easily cut into the wood. Now that I have had more time with it; I really like it. To answer your question, yes it does for me. Just as fast as my other Japanese style saws and due to the handy size and grip. I can make precise cuts. Hope this helps.

Q: Can this hand saw cut plastic?

This works great for my wood working project and cuts great. It is very sharp, so if the plastic is not super thick, this may work for you. Although I have personally not tried this on plastic.

Q: Is there a replaceable blade for this,or can you ever replace it or ever need to in the first place?

No replaceable blade included but my understanding you don’t need. It is pretty handy for jobs that aren’t too large.
