Mr Rea is to be thanked for bring his obscure but fascination area of WC to our attention.
This book if good as long as it is viewed for what it is : a cheap and quick introduction to the bamboo ring. Thereafter however I find myself agreeing with the other negative reviews.

Great book with lots of detailed information on the history and methods of using the bamboo ring.

Disappointed
Given the price paid (£13.20), I have to admit I was quite disappointed. It makes for an interesting read, but it is very badly written (atrocious spelling and sentences that are difficult to follow). There is some useful general information hidden in there, but the black-and-white photos are tiny and quite difficult to make out. As someone just beginning to try out using the ring, I would say this was a waste of money. A thin paperback that doesn't really explain how to use the ring and fails to move any deeper than the surface of the subject matter presented. On the whole, lots of fancy terminology often with, in my opinion, no real substance or relevance. It mentions that more material will be presented in 'future volumes' and, of course, for more in-depth information you can always go to the website provided and watch the related videos (for a nominal fee of $149.99...). I'm giving it 3 stars ("It's okay") because it could possibly be more useful to someone who already has some experience with the ring (assuming they can decipher what's written).

Nice book
A great little introductory book about using the Wing Chun Kung Fu Bamboo Ring. It has lots of easy to follow diagrams & pictures, so if you've practiced a little of Wing Chun Kung Fu then you'll find it very useful.

Reçu dans le délai imparti. Manuel en anglais mais relativement simple à comprendre grâce aux nombreuses photos démonstratives. Un bon début pour commencer le Rattan ring.
