This is currently a Christmas present in waiting, and whilst our little girl hasn’t recieved it yet I already know she will have hours of play out of this item.Out of the flat-pack box, you’re confronted with an almost daunting amount of parts to assemble, however it all comes together reasonably quickly. The instructions are very comprehensive and easy to follow, and the few tools necessary to complete the build are included along with the screws, nuts and bolts. It took about an hour from opening the box and checking all the parts, through to completion.Built, it is a very sturdy piece of kit, although not too heavy. It looks and feels like it’s made to last, which can’t be said for a lot of toys at the same price point on the market today.Additionally it comes with an array of accessories, that will keep our little girl amused no doubt.Whilst it’s not a “cheap” toy, I’m anticipating hours of fun. It’s value ultimately will be measured in how much joy and entertainment our little girl gets out of it. I think she’s going to LOVE it!

I think this is a great toy for kids to learn more imaginative play! It’s is easy to set up, just a little bit fiddly in places. All the screws come in a pack clearly labelled which helped with the set up for sure. The pieces that are provided are good quality and I think it’s an all round great gift.

I bought this for my sons birthday which is tomorrow, as i was unpacking the parts I noticed how damaged and marked some of the pieces are. Considering I paid this amount of money for the ice cream cart I’m not happy with the outcome at all.

I love the quality it is suitable for my 8 year old he’s going to be 9 years old on April 10th this is an early birthday gift

We bought this for my son in lockdown to encourage some more imaginative play. He has gotten plenty of use in the last 2 months (as have we as his customers!). There is good storage in the pull out drawers and we were able to include some of our other Mellisa and Doug food toys with this item. Only downside is the wheels are pretty but not particularly functional so we have to discourage him from wheeling it around.

This is such a good toy - one that will last my nephews well, as my middle nephew is right at the top end of the recommended age range, his younger brother slightly below, and his older brother willing to demean himself slightly be playing with it... but just to keep his siblings happy, you know. The coated wooden panels (probably mdf) are well made and sturdy, and the assembly instructions were relatively clear and straightforward diagrams. I managed to build this on my own, and only got one piece on the wrong way round.This reversible food cart does come complete with a set of play food to support both hot dog/warm snack cart and ice cream cart display sides - unlike some of the other larger scale food-themed Melissa and Doug play sets. The play food pieces are good quality and very appealing, though if played with roughly the paint on the edges (of the ice cream pots in particular) is prone to chipping.

Bought this for our 3 1/2 year old twins and they love it. Really good value for money!!!
