It is the latest craft I am starting !

Having viewed Elspeths inspiring little video online, I bought the book. A lovely, colourful book, clear, explicit instructions beautifully laid out, just like the video, a joy. Excellent for beginners because it so clearly and calmly takes you step by step through all the basics and preparations for different ways of rag rugging, describing the equipment you will need, how to cut up your material from old garments, clothing, etc. The book goes on to give patterns and ideas for varied, interesting and colourful designs and projects. Since being fascinated by my grandmothers rag rugs back in the 1940s, I’ve long wanted to try my hand at making them, recycling materials. I obtained some sacks from a garden centre and found the hooks long ago and in recent years cut up strips ready but only just now has it all come together with Elspeths delightful, inspiring video, then book. All set to go now, can’t wait to see what I produce.colourful projects to try your hand at

I have a huge stash of material collected over the years and this has give me some ideas of how to use some of it.

I love this book, it is very interesting and very colorful with plenty ideas how to make rugs out of clothes and other nice, lovely projects. Bought it to understand how rugs can be made,i love sewing, so i wanted to explore this world, i read all the positive reviews i decided it was worth to have in my library. Good choice. Recommended.
