Just what I needed
As an aging bassist, lugging round heavy amps and cabinets is getting harder and harder, the older I get. The Trace Elliot elf is perfect in size and sound quality. All I'm waiting for is the cabinet to go with it, but the elf itself is just great.

Superb, compact amp.
This amp has all the classic Trace Elliot character, in a tiny package which slips neatly into the front of a gig bag. It is LOUD, surprisingly so - and powered by a standard kettle lead. Brilliant.

Small box with a big sound
Purchased the Elf as a back up to my old faithful Trace Eliott and to use for rehearsals, so far it has exceeded my expectations, good sound, louder than I expected and so portable, great piece of kit

Mine went wrong
So it was really good. But then I don't know what I did - but it just screeches at me now. I've blown something... :( .

Some good, some bad
Well I must say, first of all. I have been a huge fan of Trace Elliot and had several amps/speakers over the years. Some good , some bad.But this little beauty just blew me away. I used this unit on the day it arrived through a Trace cab. It cut through the live drums no problem,it also cut through a very loud guitar amp as well at the gig...And I mean loud!!! This Elf unit could still be heard clearly through the room and outside the venue too, clear as a bell. And I was using a double bass!. Yes, an acoustic double bass with a mag and piezo pick attached. So bass guitarists - You have nothing to worry about. Excellent for small - medium size pub/club/ venues. D.I. straight out for bigger gigs.Yes I would recommend this unit and I would also buy again!. Well done Trace Elliot.

Mine no longer works
I enjoyed using this amplifier for home playing of an evening from about August 2018 until April 2019. Now, it makes tremendous noise about 70% of the time it is used, with dramatic volume increase and decrease, popping and fizzing and frequent cuts. It is not usable. I spent days trying different cables and basses and changing batteries before reaching the conclusion that the amplifier is certainly to blame. I have a faulty one and am unfortunate enough to have discovered this just after the standard warranty of a year which I believe Amazon offers having expired. Now I have to see if Peavey or the seller care enough to do anything.

Love this amp!! I bought it as a back up to my main amp and am finding I actually use it more. It is so compact but packs a mighty punch.....a great piece of kit.
