A very effective product
This product works wonders for my dogs. They are raw fed and sometimes, with bone content, things become a bit difficult for them. So this product does the trick and things become a lot easier for them. I have a feeling thy are found of it too!

Really excellent value and truly effective for IBS and constipation
Since I’ve at last found something that has truly helped my “slow transit”, semi-constipation, IBS-C and diverticular problems, which I’ve had for years, I thought I’d write a review in the hope others might be helped similarly.I've many times been recommended to use Fybogel by my GP, yet it has never really done very much for me. I was recommended this non-branded bulk version and I thought I would try it as I was experiencing a “flare up” of symptoms last November. Well - it took about a couple of weeks and an increased dose, but I would now not be without this product. It isn’t a miracle cure but it is helping control symptoms and to produce a more “normal” bowel habit. It is also vastly cheaper than the branded version and is so much easier and convenient to use.I think the reason it has worked better than the Fybogel is that it’s so much easier to eat it in greater quantities. I use a heaped dessert-spoonful sprinkled onto Alpen (my favourite) or any other cereal with lots of milk. The result is to produce a creamy-smooth and filling breakfast cereal. The psyllium husks add very little taste of their own and are very pleasant to eat – they have a very mild, slightly oaty or coconutty taste. As is recommended I make sure, as well as the extra milk, that I drink plenty of fluids with the psyllium – either water or fruit juice. I also eat Sunsweet prunes soaked in their own prune juice each day, too. This unquestionably helps with regularity, too.The result of adding in the psyllium is to produce a more regular and normal stool and bowel habit. “Going” is now easier and more comfortable. It took a couple of weeks or so, but now I’m a couple of months into using this and I’ve found that my abdominal discomfort (left and right-sided in my case) is very much reduced and I’m altogether more “regular”. I'm now starting to add a spoonful into my evening meal - mixed with water and fruit juice but so far, to no extra effect. If you suffer with bowel troubles, I honestly think you should give this an extended trial. It’s far cheaper from Amazon – in fact, I’ve stared buying a 2x500g version to save postaghe costs using Amazon Prime.

quite expensive
I use it for GF recipes. It does an OK job as a binder job but too expensive for the quantity in this pouch.
