No other product like these widely available for Laser printers.
I've came back to edit this review and upgrade the product to 5 stars. I originally gave it 2 stars as they were being sold as matte labels, which is the opposite of these high gloss labels. At the price these sell for that was a big deal. Anyway that's all fixed now, on to the review...These are high gloss (a very shiny, plasticky looking finish), waterproof, weatherproof, transparent labels for LASER printers and copiers. They will work with Colour and Black and White machines. Don't buy these for an inkjet as at best your colours will be muted and off, and at worst the ink will run all over the place on them. These labels, like most of Herma's products, are of a very high quality. They are useful for things like printing opening times on a glass door, labeling bottles and jars, printing logos for clear plastic cups, crafts and card making, small back-lit signage etc. There are two things to keep in mind when using these labels:1) your printer almost certainly does not print white, so as these labels are transparent any white areas in your design will be see through. Gradients and lighter colours may also not print the way you expect so they can take a few experiments to get used to.2) finding the right setting on your printer settings will also take some experimentation. For example on one machine I need to print with the 170-210gsm coated setting, and on another I can just use the "Labels" setting. You should aim for a setting that gives good visual results but also leaves no loose toner on the surface of the sheets. Why is this important? Loose toner may seem trivial but any excess toner is deposited inside your printer and will cause jams, decrease print quality and and shorten the life of your consumables.Pros------+ Very glossy finish that gives professional results with the right printer settings+ Weatherproof and waterproof+ Consistent quality - no dodgy rogue sheets that stick poorly, colour is consistent+ These have never jammed on any machine I have used them on+ Safe edge around the labels, this means heated adhesive is unlikely to seep out when printing and cause jams.Cons-------- Expensive, and you need to waste a few testing and finding the optimum settings for your printer- No matter what setting you use, once printed these sheets will be stuck together with static. If you are printing full sheets and not trimming in bulk this is no problem, but if you have to neatly stack these to cut in a guillotine, be prepared to stack each sheet one by one.- These probably wont work in print and automatic cut situations, they certainly don't work with a Silhouette Cameo as the machine can't read registration marks on the shiny surfaceSummary-------------Compared to regular labels they are expensive at over £1 per sheet, but the value is in that there really is nothing like these weatherproof, vinyl like laser labels widely available in the UK... Your alternative is a £20,000 solvent or latex printer. High quality and highly recommended.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Original Review Below. No longer applies. The labels supplied are high gloss and not matte. For me this is a disaster as I have a machine that cuts labels by reading printed registration marks; these will not work because of the shiny surface. I only found this out after printing and attempting to cut, so cannot return.Upon checking the product code (8694) on the Herma website, the specification of these is indeed high gloss and should not be labelled matte. As gloss labels these work very well with colour and black prints.

Great Quality Product
Herma are fantastic at what they do but my only gripe with this product is it only tells you in the small print of the production information that these labels are not suitable for inkjet printers. The only way I actually discovered this is when I printed out a label to find it smudged all over the place so I now cannot return them for a replacement. I will try and sell them on Ebay to someone with a laser printer as I am sure they will be excellent as I have had no complaints thus far with any Herma product.

These labels are marvellously transparent!
I wanted some clear labels to print on matchboxes for my sister's wedding (there will be sparklers in the evening :) ) and my goodness these labels were perfect! They are the perfect size for matchboxes and they were completely transparent allowing the patterned paper beneath to appear through. I've attached a photo as evidence! I only needed one sheet but sure there are many uses for them...

These labels are great for when you want to create barcodes that look professional and don't look like they are stuck on. It works very well.
