Hot Water Recirculating Pump 120W for Electric Water Heater System

I originally ordered the 15-9S pump, thinking I needed the volume for my water heater recirculation system. Forewarned being forearmed, I ordered the BSP (or G) to NPT 3/4" adapters, as I needed 3/4" feed out of the water heater, so I didn't want to use the 3/4" to 1/2" adapters that came with the pump. With the adapters, I had no leaks and no problems, certainly none of the problems that some have reported. I used minimal teflon tape (4 wraps or so), and the rubber gaskets that came with the fittings with no issues.The problem I did run into was the pump was more than I needed. It is rated at 120W at 30L/min, and I felt like the 15-9S was noisy. I could hear it through my garage wall, although my wife could not. With a circulation system that is fully insulated from the water heater through the house and back, all I needed was a trickle, so I decided the 15-6S with the stainless pump and multiple speeds was what I needed.I contacted the ZeroPone customer service and asked if there was a chance I could exchange the 15-9S for the smaller one I wanted, even though I was 4 months from the purchase date. (The extenuating circumstance was I was building a house and it was over 3 months before I could actually run the pump.) Not only did they agree to send me a 15-6S pump, they gave it to me with no return of the 15-9S necessary! It took me a while to get to installing the new pump, but it is whisper quiet and supplies more than enough hot water through the house, now at 40W instead of 120W.As another reviewer noted, there is no off switch, so I installed the pump on a smart plug and I have Alexa turn it on in the morning and off late at night. At 60 feet from the tank, it takes under 8 seconds to get hot water at my guest bathroom sink, and the shower is virtually instantly hot.I wish I could give it 4.5 stars and not 5 (Their customer service deserves 10!) only because the headline description clearly states NPT threads when it is not. Lower in the post of the pump, however, in the Q&A drop-down sections, it clearly states it is BSP threads, but you have to go looking for that information.I highly recommend this pump and this company, with the caveat of needing the correct adapters, also available on Amazon. The adapters can clearly be seen in my photos. The short video is only to give a sense of how quiet this pump is: I cannot hear it at all, although the water movement or my check valves cause a little noise. For the great comfort this little pump gives, at the purchase price and cost to run it, I'll put up with a tiny bit of noise!

Has installation requirements that limit how it is installed. Has different features that are not well described, trial and error. Gets hot. Operates very quietly. It has worked well ( for about two months).

This pump is complete junk and a huge disappointment. It started leaking in less than a year after installation, which is completely unacceptable for a component tied into a home’s water system. By the time I noticed the issue, there was already about an inch of water along the wall in my basement mechanical room. I was extremely lucky to catch the leak just one day before leaving for vacation, or the damage could have been severe. I had to make an emergency trip for plumbing parts just to remove the pump and reconnect the pipes where it had been installed. Poor quality, unreliable, and absolutely not worth the risk. One star.

Worked well

I really like this pump. Its made of stainless steel and way more affordable than the Watts unit it replaced. It was nice that the Watts unit originally came with a sensor valve that this application requires. I'm still using the Watts sensor valve and a Grundfos version of the valve that has a clean-out port so the valve doesn't require removing or replacing if it gets clogged and stops working. l found it necessary to install a ball type stainless steel shut-off valve ahead of the pump. This would be needed in the event of any maintenance that is required and allows only having to shutting off the hot water side. The installation instructions were sketchy and incomplete. Due to some poorly cut threads watch out for leaks. I applied 5 or 6 wraps of teflon tape first and then a coat of pipe dope. So far no leaks. Try to leave the first few threads empty to allow for an easier start when connecting things together. For my original setup (Watts), I used a smart plug to time two hour sessions three times a day. Usage is minimal and it still works with the new pump. I leave the power switch on. I don't know what the Auto setting does but my guess is it likely runs the pump way longer than the smart plug would. I can't find any information any where about it's function. As others have mentioned it does make noise but not annoyingly.

Used for continuous duty heat pump for under floor radiant heat system. Currently pushing 70 gallons at 35 psi, steady at 145⁰F. Been running non-stop in auto mode since 11/26/23.Quiet. Strong. It's like "the little engine that could," if you know what I mean.Not designed for continuous duty, this pump is impressive. I am going to leave it running until it fails or until I no longer need it to heat my home.The one problem is the flanges. They are 3/4 straight threaded. They do not taper, so... use pipe tape and go 1 full plus half a turn on the wrap & make sure to tape the threads tight & don't over torque. Easy peasy no leaks.

This is a replacement for one that we had for 20 years. I only hope we can get least half that from this one. So far it’s working very quietly and fast. I put a timer with it so it’s off during the night, it’s been two weeks and all good

Installed this pump on the cold side of water heater as a recirculating pump and last one day, it over heated overnight crating a fire hazard and melt the electrical box/switch. I also couldn't find instructions anywhere on how the Auto mode works or even how to program Auto mode.Well this pump is absolutely junk.
