Pentax review
Loveing getting back into my Photography. This is the perfect camera to do it with. It's light enought that I don't shake and it takes sharp and cleaan pictures.

Great camera
Love my updated DSLR Pentax camera. All my older lenses fit and I am enjoying the ease of using it

Not my cup of tea
This DSLR is probably the last to be built. I didn't care for it and returned it because it is noisy and slow in operation. DSLRs are not my cup of tea anymore. Mirrorless cameras have so much more to offer.

Excellent

Love the articulating view screen on this camera!!
I previously had a Pentax K-50 that served me well for many years. I also had acquired a 18mm - 135mm and 80mm - 200mm zoom Pentax lenses. I decided to upgrade to the Pentax KF camera so that I could use my old lens and move up to a better quality camera. Wow, what an improvement!

Pentaxian's: Tears of Joy...
More to come... I've had it just over a month now;amazing, familiar, comfortable, quality...You need to look up brilliant in a nice thesaurus... Start there and carry on... This camera replaced my (still working) ist DL: New lens technology is so very nice and fast. It's not often you purchase something that just gives you a huge happy face; this camera does exactly that.Be aware... Your old glass is ... Well old... Prepare to buy new glass; you won't be sorry...

Offers a lot of option but...
Offers a lot of options and lots of great features is packed in this camera for the price but image quality is no better than the competitors(no a lot better than my canon M200 (but better than my Nikon D5300) and way more robustly build). I am shooting in Manual mode all the time. There is no live preview of what the picture is going to be in the live view (except to take a picture to see what the picture would look like), makes it more difficult to get the proper exposition and to focus on bright objects like the moon. For everything else there is the ''Magic Green button'' which suggest you an exposure time that sometime a gamble but it's getting pretty close. I bought it primarily to be use with manual lenses (mostly old Pentax ones) and telescope, seem to work ok with those, at least I'm getting the proper back focus and I'm able to focus to infinity. The Astrotracer is a pretty interesting feature. For a camera advertised for astrophotography i found out it should be able to take multiple shot in bulb mode without having to use an external timer. But I'm somehow feeling I made a bad decision and maybe time will tell in the next few weeks if I did. After a while I found out I made a pretty good choice, not five star but pretty close
