Great for hand and wrist rehab but won’t last forever.
I have really enjoyed my Power Web.I injured my left wrist playing with my child a few years ago and have had a strength deficit in that hand since then. After a couple of months of daily use with this I believe I have gotten past that old injury using this for therapy. That said, a few things you should know and expect. This is made from natural rubber so it will break down over time from use. Especially daily use. Mine has already had 2-3 of the interweb connections break.I am not sorry I bought it, but you should know its an item that gets used up probably within a year or two. Also, you may want to use athletic tape on your fingers at the joints because the rubber netting can tend to cut and wear on your hands.Lastly, and this may not be an issue but for 5% of users but I wish there were levels above the black one. I would like to see 2-3 more levels stronger than this. I have been thinking about buying a second one of these and using two together. Not sure if that would work.Overall a great and helpful PT device and I would buy again. If you are having hand or wrist surgery or considering it, get one of the lower resistance models and try that before surgery.

Great tool in occupational therapy
I have been using it daily to help me after my wrist fracture. After using it, my joints feel looser. A great toy to have after a wrist injury.

Potential for injury rehab
Actually, I own four different Power Webs from the lightest to the heaviest. Ordered the lightest one for my wife. There are many different exercises possible with Power Webs. Many exercises, such as moving your fingers sideways or back, should be done with a lighter model, especially if you are rehabbing a hand.In my case I needed to rehab an injured elbow. One exercise for this is to spread your fingers out and rotate your hand back and forth. Initially I used the lighter models, to avoid prompting swelling of the elbow. But after a few weeks I now warm up with a lighter one and work my way up to the heaviest.I will continue to use weights and other devices to build forearm strength. However, the Power Webs do allow you to do movements not possible with devices only intended for grip strength. As mentioned this offers potential for various rehabilitation problems. One example for me is working around an old thumb injury, which probably has some arthritis. Sometimes it flares up, precluding the use of normal grip strengthening devices. However, with the Power Web I simply insert that thumb deeper in one of the holes than the other fingers. This reduces the leverage against it while allowing normal resistance to the rest of the hand.

Used for broken wrist rehab
I broke my wrist and use this same item at my physical therapy. It helps tremendously with flexibility and strength.

I have pretty strong hands just from playing keyboards and pianos so ...
On the say so of another reviewer I went straight to the most heavy duty version of this device. I have pretty strong hands just from playing keyboards and pianos so I figured this is the way to go.No kidding this is tough to use, but I"m sticking with it because I think it's very beneficial. Here's something you don't learn from the reviews. This thing must be made out of the same stuff that dog chew toys are made out of. Smells and feels exactly the same as that sort of thing. If you hate that smell you're gonna hate the way this thing smells too.I might up this to five stars if my fingers get more used to it. I want to be able to do all the really intricate excersizes I've seen on the youtube videos with these things. But this thing is pretty damn tough to move.
