Good performance
I bought it to replace the one on my computer that was damaged over a year ago. It was not so easy to replace because of the design of the Sueface, but once it was done it worked great. I have been using it for over a year and it works very well. It charges quickly and holds up well.

battery not detected by surface pro
While this has absolutely nothing to do with this product, changing the battery on a Surface Pro is a pain in the neck. it's mounted underneath the insides so even after you remove the adhesive from the screen you need to take the whole thing apart. I did it, installed this battery (they're all same specs at similar price with similar reviews, I picked this one because it delivered a day earlier than the others.) and put everything back together and tested it. unit powered on and was running on battery, but the surface does not detect it. it's essentially telling me that there is no battery connected even though there is. (which is fun, because no notification when the battery is gonna die, it just goes off.) I initially thought I did something wrong, so took the whole thing apart, reseated the battery, and put it all back together again. Same issue. I went and got another battery, took the whole thing apart for a third time, and that works fine. so the issue lies with the battery here, which is not great, considering the amount of time it takes to install.

Normal patient people can fix a Microsoft Surface.
The battery is great. Taking apart the Microsoft Surface takes lots of patience. Be very careful with the top of the tablet because you might cut off the wireless antennas like I did. I simply put aluminum tape in their place and that improved my wifi signal significantly over original. Go figure.Don't melt the surface case with a heat gun, take your time, and don't puncture the old battery. It will light up lots of sparks. I simply shoved an old credit card under the old battery and it very slowly lifted off. Let the things lift themselves off the case as you apply heat to them and you'll be fine. You put any pressure at all on that glass and it will spider instantly. Took me two days but I got it done.
