Buy Forex For Ambitious Beginners: A Guide to Successful Currency Trading by Peters, Jelle (ISBN: 9789081082143) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Good book for forex trading not just for beginners, also for intermidiate and experts - Well written and good book - straight forward without the waffles. Easy to understand and follow the strategy - and easy to use it as a reference once you have read the book and may like to read it - good to keep it handy if you are going trade in forex. This book is for begginers but is execelt for intermidiate and experts who can pick things from this book to become better. Review: A flawed masterpiece of a Forex primer. - From page 15: "Now, chances are that you've already heard some great stories about how easy it is to make money trading on the forex. Maybe you heard a story about a beginning trader just like you, who started out with just a couple of hundred bucks and with this or that simple strategy and made tens of thousands of dollars in profit in only a few months. Yeah, that's not gonna happen. I don't want to burst your bubble or anything, but it's better to start out with your feet firmly planted on the road to riches and not have your head filled with fantasies." Right, so much for AMBITIOUS BEGINNERS then. The book DOES make for a really good read though. Once you see past the highly annoying use of a comma instead of a decimal point (an odd thing to see in a book about money! And the reason why it doesn't get five stars) then there is a lot of plainly-written common sense which serves as a primer for any subsequent training and reading you're going to follow it up with. Each aspect of Forex is dealt with, and there's even a few book recommendations in the text and in the Bibliography to extend your knowledge still further, which is just what you need once your enthusiasm and interest has been stirred. I strongly recommend this book. It's aimed at beginners without being in the least bit patronising. It's short enough and written comprehensively enough to be read all in one go, yet packed with detail. There's even a test at the end to see how much has sunk in, although you'll want to read it again in three months, just to brush up on things. There's enough here to make every Forex article and book you read, and every Forex YouTube video you watch, to suddenly start making a lot more sense. Books like this? They aren't an expense - they are a worthy investment.

Brilliant book- a must
I bought this a while ago and I’ve been reading it through very carefully, I thoroughly enjoy this book, if you read it your not going to become a trader but I can imagine reading it through 2/3 times and taking notes it will fill the gaps in forex knowledge, very easy read and I enjoyed reading it, I wouldn’t rely souly on this single book but none the less it’s a brilliant and accurate book, a must have when learning how the foreign exchange works! I will be keeping this book and reading it over and over for a long time!

A good beginners guide
A good beginners guide to the Forex market and an interesting read. It gives the user a general overview of how different strategies work, what the forex market is and what moves it etc but doesn't go very far in depth in any particular area. I'm giving it 4 stars because I believe that it doesn't offer any particular insight that can't be found on a beginner site such as babypips and I actually found their free beginners guide more useful personally. It should go without saying but once you've read this be sure to pick up something more advanced because reading something like this alone will not prepare you fully to live trade FX but if you aren't sure exactly what Forex is or if it's for you then a book like this is perfect.

not bad for the money quite interesting
not a bad read to be fair you can underdtand it and its got good charts in as far as the book goes its decent and worth the money but the whole forex market is so very volatile nothing can help you predict the market and following trends only gets me watching a screen and revising and looking at charts for far too long so i stopped trading to complex and too time consuming . the book yea a good read

Very good for beginners
Very useful, well written book for beginners in the Forex world. I think it must be read before planning a forex strategy and starting trading. It does give you several essential information that you must know before trading on the forex.

Awesome! All jokes apart it is a pleasant read ...
WOW since reading this book I have made £0 on the forex market! Awesome! All jokes apart it is a pleasant read and not extremely technical or difficult to keep up with - all terms are explained clearly and strategies are outlined. Will you be a trader after reading this? Most certainly not. Will you understand the basics of forex and how certain dodgy people have used circumstances to their advantage to make loads of dosh? I think so.

Good read for beginners with some knowledge
Just finished this book, have also completed the "school of pipsology" by babypips.com (online reading) and also half a handful of other books. Have been trading for 2 years, but would have completed less than 30 trades in this time - mostly in demo. Found this to be useful (I read back and forward multiple times) as J. Peters gives good insight to the dollar, major and cross pairs as well as the historical development of the dollar, today's markets and the Forex opportunities available. Gave quick deep dives to fundamental analysis and TIs, would recommend to a beginner who has basic understanding of both and knowledge of the basic range of TIs. The kindle version had a 60 question quiz at the end which was a good gauge of understanding. Would recommend / read again, definitely!

This book is not necessarily a reference book but i definitely use it for one. I will occasionally go back through it if I forget something forex related.

Un livre bien documente. Croustillant de details. Somme toute, un livre sur le Forex bien pense et bien fait par un auteur dont l'experience du monde boursier et du Forex se ressent au fil de la lecture.

Jelle does a great job of showing you the territory and giving you a good idea of where to start and exactly what to do. I'm a beginner but I read most of the book before I started a practice account and it helped tremendously. I tried the author's suggestions and they work. You make a huge mistake unless you set TP and SL with every trade. The review of technical trading, range, and trend trading was very good without weighing you down with too much information. I will say that the one deficiency of the book was that it didn't give you enough real time trading information sources; i.e., where to find Federal Reserve, EU, and economic source information, but that comes naturally. Good read on a tough subject. Thanks Jelle.

Great beginner course with some clear insight to what the FOREX market is all about and how to prepare yourself to trade. Covering the basics without fluff or going on about a subject once the point is made. A good read for any and all beginners
