great price for a great product!
This item was a direct replacement for one that I had for over 4 years and was in constant use every day. It finally packed up recently and I stupidly replaced it with a cheap Clarke heat-gun from machine mart which packed up after 3 months! In fairness to machine mart the item was replaced with no quibble but once again after 6 weeks it packed up. Decided the extra money was more than justified for a Bosch heat-gun - didn't bother returning the Clarke product the second time!

Great budget tool
Great tool and good price. Could do with a rest or cradle of some sort when you set it down, but does the job well.

Replacement Gun
Bought my last PHG 500 in 2004 which recently died after 14 years of very rough treatment! Based on reliability, performance and longevity of the old one it was an easy choice to buy another. Great price and delivery from Amazon as usual.

LOOKS OK .... BUT NO HOLDER PROVIDED
I haven't tested the gun properly yet but it seems to be OK and not too heavy which was one of my concerns. I was prepared for there not to be any accessories at all, but there is NO HOLDER. This obviously is not very safe when you need to put the hot gun down in the middle of paint stripping, so I am wondering what to do. A large tin maybe, unless I can track down this accessory. The gun does not fit my Black & Decker holder of course but I've found I can bend my old B & D nozzles to fit the Bosch - so at least that's useful. My B & D lasted for 30 years of on and off domestic use, so I wonder how this one will do.

Smokes at first but its fine.
Did smoke at first but according to the manual and online, its just the residue oils from the factory line burning off. After 5 minutes it stopped smoking. Works great.

Calidad a buen precio
