My daughter practically lives on her Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, and after about a year of nonstop use, the charging port finally gave out—likely due to a cracked solder joint. Rather than replacing the whole tablet, I decided to swap out the port with this replacement part, and I’m glad I did! The trickiest part was carefully heating and removing the screen without damaging the glass, but once that was done (took me about 20 minutes), the actual installation was a breeze. The new port fit like a glove and worked perfectly right away. No issues with charging or connectivity at all. You would also need to get a special LCD glue to reglue the screen back to the body frame and it needs around 6 hours or more to set. If you’re comfortable with small electronics repairs, this is a solid fix that saves a ton of money compared to getting a new device. Highly recommended!

Replacement was easy just apply heat to the screen with a hair dryer or heat gun so you don't break the screen. Tablet now charges and works great.

Works perfect with the A8 2019 version. Came with all the tools that were need minus the glue/adhesive. The removal was super easy followed a YT video I used a CVS heating pad high setting had the tablet screen on it for 10 mins or so and the screen came off with the tools provided. I used B7000 glue there are precut double sides sticky tape that works too.

Got this to replace the one in A8 that won’t charge anymore. It’s fit perfectly and not very hard to change, just find a good YouTube video and fellow it. It’s very good for the money because it’s a lot cheaper than buying a new tablet. It s function and charging speed are the same as the original one and might last longer.

If you're up for a little DIY, this can save you a lot of hassle and money! Our tablet's charger broke. For a brief time it still had power which is how I knew it wasn't anothet part thst was faulty. It worked perfectly other than not charging. There are online videos that can walk you through the replacement process. The hardest part was using heat to break the seal that holds the screen in place. Once the screen is off, it's a simple fix. The plastic tools provided can help wedge under the screen, though if you dont already have it partly open, they will bend. Definitely worth the money as we had heard quoted for $100+ for a fix-it place.
