Bottarga, Oro di Cabras, +-100g

Inspired after seeing this grated over pasta on Rick Stein's recent TV show. Arrived very quickly from overseas. Prepare yourself for a strong smell on opening, however once on the pasta gives a wonderful and subtle taste. A good alternative to the vast quantities of Parmesan I usually use. It's expensive but you only use a very small amount. Give it a try!

Excellent product... But be warned.. Mine was opened by Border Force!! Not sure why...possibly because they had re-used a box. Packaging was good, no smell etc!?

Absolutely delicious but fairly expensive we really enjoyed this Bottarga, one has to sample it to truly appreciate it. Also the supplier ensured that the product was well packaged, and fresh it arrived in excellent condition, lovely.

Used this with olive oil and garlic into a paste with chilli heated in pan then added cooked pasta and mixed. Ensure the noodles are very al dente so the dish has bite. Delicious savoury taste with fishy undertones.

Absolutely tasteless would not buy again big disappointment. Dogs loved opening the vaccuum pack, but turned their noses up at pasta left over with this product on.

Spaghetti, chilli, garlic and flaked Bottarga create a super meal. Easy to grate on my ordinally cheese grater.

Best bottarga I have tasted - well worth the money. Quick delivery from Germany.

Have bought two lots of this new favourite ingredient and will buy again.
