Review: Harri Angell sets the standard to which other sports and fitness authors should aspire. - I have only had this publication for a week but already I know it is going to transform my running as well as my life! I usually struggle with exercise books because the explanations are too complicated - or not sufficiently detailed - and the reading experience is ultimately dry and uninspiring. Not so with this gem! The instructions are beautifully simple and precise, clearly set out on the page with easy to follow instruction, and photographs showing exactly the position to be adopted. The exercises are interwoven with interesting case studies, notes, quotations from Joseph Pilates - this all enriches the reading experience. How refreshing to read a book about Pilates which is written for women and for men! But what I appreciate most of all about this wonderful book is the detail given about performing particular Pilates exercises correctly and the explanation of how each exercise will assist running performance. It's packed full of information and good advice. I hope Harri Angell will write more books - she sets the standard for other sports/fitness authors to aspire to. Bravo! Review: Fabulous book for beginners and experienced runners/pilates fans. - This is a great book for beginners and experienced runners and also pilates fans. Harri takes you through why pilates helps your running and your body in general and then explains the different techniques really well and why they help your running. The pictures and descriptions are really helpful and easy to follow. This is a must buy for anyone who runs to help keep you at your best. It is also a great book for anyone interested in taking up pilates as the different techniques have benefits for everyone not just runners. This book is a must buy for everyone!!!

Rich with Content & Inspiration
Recently bought this book, very impressed. Great exercises with photos, & v. clear instructions. Rich with content and inspiration. Each exercise has lots of photos, up to 5 or 6, , showing the progression of the movements - and step by step instruction along the side. I like things easy & clear and this book does it for me. Also like the real life case studies of runners using Pilates exercises to improve their performance. I recently I started running and getting a few minor aches & pains - am using this book to help me understand what to do about it, and it's really helping. There is a whole section on injuries, again v. clear - with great diagrams, headings such as : Cause, Treatment, Prevention. Et Voila ! It's a lovely book, with lots of general tips and inspiration for anyone who loves to exercise and keep fit & strong.

The best exercise book I have read.
Absolutely love this book. I haven't put it down since receiving it. As a regular runner and keep fit fanatic I fall into the "Pilates and stretching is boring" camp. Within 24 hours of reading this, my mindset has changed. It has helped me understand not only the benefits of Pilates but why my body reacts and feels the way it does. It provides clear instructions on what I need to do to address the niggles and prevent injury whilst improving my times. Well written with great illustrations. Bottom line...if you run....BUY this book.

You can teach an old dog new tricks!
Bought this book and took my time to read it through - I'm an old school runner and never done Pilates or yoga. I found the book easy to read and understand so started to work through the beginners routines doing it 2-3 times a week. Really enjoying it and getting to grips with the exercises. I didn't think they did a lot at first but now starting to get into them and already seeing improvements and my fitness is improving and running feeling stronger and faster. Which after a period of injury at 61 I didn't expect. A great book and I'll continue to keep on with the exercises and hope to set new age group best times on the back of it! Thanks Harri excellent book!

I love this book! So helpful, easy to read and understand. It gives a clear and precise delivery of relevant information for each individual area that the reader may want to pick out and a great introduction to the positive power of Pilates. I like how this book gives comprehensive support to men and women of all abilities, needs and time available to dedicate to looking after ourselves from reading the book to getting out and running. Thank you to the author for a great resource and I look forward to hopefully reading more from her in the future.

Interesting, Informative and Inspirational
I have found this book so interesting and informative. As a beginner runner I wondered if it would be relevant for me, but it is suitable for anyone, regardless of ability. It is very clear and concise, with easy to find exercises and examples, as well as some really inspirational stories. I have already started noticing the difference in my running, just by being more aware of my posture and core. Plus the stretching has helped with my flexibility and muscle recovery after runs. Would definitely recommend it.
