Why do I have to charge a keyboard
Got this because it is what I could find at a reasonable price. Connected to my new SP8 and it works well enough. It is as described and expected. Smooth function and well-constructed. I didn't have to charge the keyboard for my Surface Pro and I liked it very much. Also preferred the color choice of my old keyboard; unfortunately, nothing is downward compatible for the SP8 and above, so I had to settle. My old pen seems to work but it doesn't fit the new pen holder design. Now I have to get a carrying case for accessories that I never needed before, just so I can upgrade the machine and to Windows 11. Nothing specifically wrong with this device as it works as advertised. I deducted a star because I don't like to settle for something other than what I actually want or need.

Give It a chance
This surface pro keyboard is great! It is slim and lightweight, making it easy to take with me when I'm travelling. It also provides actual laptop-style key presses which really make it feel like a regular surface keyboard. I'm also impressed with the battery life. It lasts me a full day of average use before I have to recharge it. Overall the experience So far is great.

Great keyboard, excellent quality
The media could not be loaded. My original Surface keyboard started playing up suddenly, hardly surprising as I work on it a lot writing technical manuals. It suddenly got the number '8' key and also the letter 't' key confused, well, if I pressed one of these keys, both the characters would display, all the time, sometimes repeating until I unclipped the keyboard so was not ideal.Time for a new keyboard.I checked Amazon and saw the official Microsoft models were expensive, in my mind for what they are.The Erkovia units seemed to look good and of a decent value for what they are, and had some decent reviews so I settled for this one.The keyboard is slim, lightweight and looks and feels very similar to the original Microsoft Type Cover but connects via Bluetooth. It was very simple to connect and worked first time without any issues. The main difference is that it requires charging now and again with a usb connection but a single charge so far appears to last several days.

It's perfect
I was impressed by the level of mouse control on the touchpad and how the keyboard felt. I used it on my tablet and it felt and looked great. I am very satisfied that the desired effect has been achieved.

Not bad
I like the compact size of this until and the fact that it makes its own hard case when folded up. The touch pad is a nice feature and works surprisingly well. The main thing I did not like was the way the keyboard was split by the folding joints. At the joint they have narrowed the key on two keys. Even though it has a surprisingly nice touch while typing, I could not get past the narrow keys. If I really needed a super compact and sturdy portable keyboard, I probably would have kept this one. I sent it back because I would rather have a larger keyboard and not have to deal with a couple of oddball width keys.

Pretty good
I honestly thought I’d receive it and it would look nothing like the product advertised but it is. Looks good, USB C is a major benefit. Just a good keyboard if you’re looking for something foldable, clean, and simple. Backlighting would be sooo nice if they release a version 2 of this.
