Decided it was time to improve my pullups. I chose this one because of the length of the bar and I wasn't limited to a couple of hand-hold positions. I mounted this outside on my back porch to a 2x10 exposed beam. Instead of the included screws, which are heavy duty, I used 5/16-inch lag bolts to attach it to the beam. That worked great and is super sturdy, though using the included screws on an unexposed beam would have been fine too. This bar is really heavy duty and there is never a worry about whether it can hold the weight, especially with my lag-bolt installation. The finish is also excellent, and I have no worries about rust developing, even though it is exposed to outside moisture. If it ever did, a bit of sanding and repainting would suffice. The surface has a slight texture which makes the bar easy to grip. Once installed, I found that I couldn't do even one pullup. Not one! But, several times a day I would still give it a go, which I continue to do. After 5 weeks now I can do 4 good pullups!! So, I happy with the progress, and I have a target of 15 pullups by years end 9 months from now. I also use the bar for hanging: just grab on, hold and see how long I can last. Initially I could go about 30 seconds. Now I'm up to 75 seconds, so big improvement there, and I think that will increase too, it just takes consistent practice. I'm thinking of eventually getting another to put outside on my arbor where I could use it to work on muscle ups when the time comes.

Pretty good pull up bar holds me and I’m 220 pounds. It’s really good quality. Just put 2 extra screws just in case.

The bar is very strong and does not give at all with a 210 lb weight hanging from it. The 5/16 " screws supplied , hold the bar firmly to the wall studs . It has very good finish to allow for a good grip .

Well made bar with good grip and well finished. Recommend a piece of plywood between the pull up bar and the wall.

I honestly have no idea how I haven’t ripped the studs out of my wall. It feels like I’m going to with every pull up since it’s only held in by the four screws but I e had this for months and have done hundreds of pull ups on it including some with added weight. It was kind of hard to install (with a drill) so I used an impact driver and it worked flawlessly. Build quality is solid and the fit was pretty much perfect in my doorway. The grip is a bit smooth but I put some hockey tape on mine and it seems to have done the trick. Great value for the money. Super simple but effective design.

Very well-made and sturdy. 4mm steel on the mounting plates, and the support triangles. Very clean welds all around — looks like they laser-welded it.

Just what I expected. Good value.

One of the screws that this came with snapped. Luckily nobody fell off the bar. This is a huge health hazard and this product should not be sold with the supplied screws. Now I'm left with 4 massive holes and a visit to a local DIY store to buy proper metal screws to install this.

Die Stange ist gut und macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Sie ist sexy-mattschwarz Die Halteplatten sind sauber mit der Stange verschweißt, die Schweißnähte sind sauber, flach und ohne Fehlerstellen. Gleiches gilt für die Oberflächen. Die Stange ist satiniert/mikro-angerauht, was mehr Grip gibt, ohne einem die Haut von den Händen zu reißen. Preis/Leistung sind hier UNSCHLAGBAR! Lediglich bei der Befestigung würde ich wirklich zur Vorsicht raten und NICHT auf die mitgelieferten China-Bolzen/-"Schwerlastanker" vertrauen! Die Aussparungen messen 8mm. Bei Balkenmontage würde ich die Stange mittels Schlossschrauben vollständig durch den Balken verschrauben und bei Wandmontage (NUR bei massivem Mauerwerk/Beton!) dringend zu deutschen Marken-Schwerlastankern raten! Niemand möchte erleben, dass die Stange im Klimmzug abreißt! ;)
