Better quality than expected, great for price!
This set was bigger than I expect, everybody said it is pocket size but I don't have any pockets that it would fit in, but not that easy to play on. If there is a bigger board available go for that one but this is perfect to take out on trips. This is a good product for chess if you don't mind a small board, it's so small it's probably ok for day trips as it would fit in a hand bag easily with more space even in one of the smaller ones. When folded in half to creat a box it's about the size of a iPhone 6s. The magnets hold -though one or two pieces make scratching sounds if slid along the board- and are good quality. The pieces are a bit hard to reconise at first because of the size (I thought the queen was a pawn, but when I realised there was only one of them I saw my mistake and looked for the pice there was most of) :). For what you pay this is an amazing product that I would personly sell at about £5. If your products comes out at a diffrent quality to mine you could try to send it back. Have fun and hope this helps.P.s it is abit smaller than my iPhone SE in its cane while both are open.

Nearly put off because of the negative reviews
Having poor eyesight I was nearly put off purchasing this mini chess set as some of the reviewers mentioned it was had to tell the pieces apart. Glad I didn't take any notice now as its quite obvious what pieces are what. This is a great pocket money chess set for occasional use. Does the job perfectly and my daughter is very happy with it. Magnets are good enough to keep the pieces on the board.

Exactly what I needed
This chess set was cheap, is compact and just works. That is all that is really required in a travel chess set and it does these three things absolutely fine.Of course, there are always going to be better options that cost more money but often you have a significant extra cost for little gain. If you are just looking for a compact, functional travel chess board that costs very little then you can't go wrong with this. The magnets on every piece are strong enough to hold in place, the board clicks together and holds when folded up and the pieces are all clearly marked as to their type.

Great travel chess set.
Bought this to take on holiday as my seven year old is leanring the game. It's small and light with magnetic pieces. They stay on the board well, even when bumped around quite a bit. Did the job a treat. Just need to be watchful as the pieces are small and light as you would expect in a travel set. They could easily be lost.

Perfect travel chess game
Perfect if your looking for a little magnetic chess board game that you can take traveling with you.Only down side is that there are no instructions on how to play for beginners.Very cute, would highly recommend for chess lovers, as you can play away on your travels :)

Small, magnetic and pocket size!
Slim and easy to slip into a pocket or bag. Great for the price! The pieces are small and magnetic. Ideal for travelling if you space conscious.

they swapped the set for another one so that was very good. It is so tiny I'm not sure it's ...
Very tiny set. Bought for my daughter but she had two of one thing and was missing another piece (sorry but I don't play chess, think it was two black queens?) anyway, they swapped the set for another one so that was very good. It is so tiny I'm not sure it's great to play with.

For us, too small even for a travel game
We wanted a small (travel) game, however this is too small for us. The pieces are hard to recognise, too.
