I thought I read the fine print but didn't realize the batteries were not included for each strand.....so I haven't even tried them yet..

Pretty outside, but definitely eats up the batteries pretty quickly. Nice not to have to run cords from the outlet.

Great quality. Fast shipment. Easy to install. Lights are beautiful and light weight. Wish instructions for light timing settings were more understandable. Used these on door wreaths and looked great.

Update: A couple days went by before I got around to taking them down and by then they had completely died. No light coming from either string. When I did take them down just out of curiosity I used my battery tester to check the batteries (all dead) and tried putting in another new set for a minute and low and behold the lights worked again. So it turns out the brand new Duracell batteries I had put in them when I got them were totally drained within the first week. The cold weather may have had something to do with it but since I live in Texas it hasn't even gotten down to freezing temperatures yet and it was already enough to ruin these lights for outdoor use. There is just a plastic box holding the batteries in the compartment with no insulation at all. You tell me how they are supposed to stay charged. Perhaps they should come with a warning to only use in warm weather but that defeats the purpose if you want them to light up your porch when it gets dark early in winter. Not sure if it was the cold or just the fact that these lights need too much power for a few triple As to sustain them but either way I am still giving them one star. They are not worth a dime since you will be junking expensive batteries every three days if you get lucky enough to receive two that don't break right of the box and want them to actually work. You have been warned._____________________________________Original review below...One string broke as I was putting it up the first time. Just came apart at one of the lights about six from the end. Knotted it together with no hope of electrical connection just to reach the other wall. The rest closer to the battery still turned on so I put it up anyway along with the other string since one would have looked dumb in the arrangement I intended with the hope that I could replace the bad one by contacting the seller. The lights were nice and bright at first and all the settings worked even turning on every night for the first 3 days as I wanted. The seller would not send a replacement but did refund my money. Thought I could live with these the way they were for a little while before repurchasing another fully working set but on the fourth day the all the lights on both strings got really dim. Don't know what happened. Right after I got them I even put plastic bags around the battery boxes which I hid under an awning to save from the weather. It didn't rain that week at all and nothing disturbed the lights except some strong winds but they have never lit up the yard again. They are so dull now that I am just going to throw them out. Horrible quality. So sad these did not work because they looked great at first excepting the section that wasn't connected. So glad I got a refund.

They look nice, but they drain batteries really quickly.

Shocked how much I love these! I bought them and when I opened the box was hesitant thinking they looked cheap, BUT unwrap them and turn them on and they make a room look stunning. The different settings are perfect and though the battery box is a bit large and heavy there is a little spot you can attach to a hook on the wall. Extremely sturdy and wont break. Light isnt blinding.

Have gone through 18 batteries in 3 weeks. Only turning on for a few hours a day. Do not recommend.

They have a nice weight to them which is perfect for hanging them off a tree or draping them along an arbor. They are surprisingly bright and I love the ability to change the lights from flashing to strobing and a variety of other options. The solar panel is Compact and well-made and there's a great amount of length to do all your summertime lighting. You won't regret buying these.
