Plug and play and works pretty darn well. Be sure to go into the settings and switch the picture to 480p for a slightly better boost in picture quality too. And the picture quality in general is really pretty good, especially good for the price! For comparison, I bought a $24 N64 HDMI adapter at the same time as this one, and the picture from this is leaps and bounds better than it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone hoping to play their wii on an HDTV.

Bought a Nintendo Wii from an old trading game store out here in Florida, brought it home only to realize the cord they sold us does not work with smart TV’s. Ordered this as my last result before returning the system and within 24 hours it was on my doorstep and with one click into the back of the system our HDMI has PERFECT picture quality. Now we get to kick back and enjoy Mario Super Bro’s with the kiddo ❤️

Works for most games/apps. Not recommended for a modded Wii that runs apps with differing resolution output.I bought this to avoid running the RCA cables from the factory packed connector that comes with a Wii through an upscaler due to the slight input lag that comes with that setup. When I tested this out, it worked with standard Wii games just fine. Unfortunately, if any game/app doesn't use the standard resolution, this device seems to drop the signal. I also noticed that when playing games for more than a few minutes that it gets quite hot.If your Wii is modded, I suggest finding something else or using an upscaler with the default RCA cables. If not, this might be what you need.

Works wonderfulling great but when I try to play NES or SNES like games I have no idea if the converter or my new Telly TV but besides that it works great for gamecube and wii games it look beautiful

So far so good, no issues and seems like a quality product for the price. I've had a Wii plugged in to our living room TV for ages, but I never use it any more. So I decided to transplant it to my son's room so it can be used and appreciated again, but his Amazon TV only has HDMI ports, so a device like this was needed. Decent packaging, actually included an HDMI cable(a rather short one), and has worked as advertised. For anyone who has a Wii and needs to plug it in to an HDMI port, this device has you covered.

Very skeptical about this purchase but I’m glad I did it this works like a charm and I’ve tried AV hdmi adapters and none delivered it’s not HD because the Wii doesn’t output HD but the picture quality is acceptable I am pleased with my purchase
