Definitely a good read.
Short review...but if you have any interest at all with the development of the 1st generation of Camaro, this book is a must read. It is chock 'o block full of behind the scenes development, information, great photos of early mock-ups (Panther), a couple of concepts that never reached fruition, etc, etc, etc. It even contains a separate chapter on the Trans Am Racing effort with the Z/28. Mr. Zazarine certainly as an affinity for writing as the words just flow...truly an easy read. I highly recommend this book to any wanting to expand their ponycar library.

Awesome book
The book has a ton of Information in it and it is very well done. They put a lot of detail in the book about all the things I was looking for. They answered a lot of the questions I had before I bought the book. All I can say is Well Done.Thank YouBrad Lorenz

Got this for my son for Christmas--he just bought himself a fully restored '68 Camaro, and this book is great.

Camaro Love!
The book arrived in great shape and was a fun read, too! Parts of the text seem a bit thrown together, but for the price and the great tidbits of history it is well worth the buy.

A GTO Expert Stumbles Over Camaros
The author of this book is an expert on the Pontiac GTO and has written several books on that topic. He also co wrote Glory Days with Jim Wangers. This book is not his best work. The major problem is that there isn't enough content to fill 173 pages. It is full of white space. The outside margin is 2.5 inches. The tables are narrow and double spaces. They often contain trivial information like the exact equipment in every version of the Z/28 package, the equipment included in the 1969 Indy Pace cars, or what percent of the Camaros shipped each year had wheel covers or tinted windows. There are many small black and white pictures of different interiors, all too small to be useful, some referring to the color of the interior. It is difficult to determine who the intended audience is? Does the reader who wants to compare the shock absorber piston diameter of the Z/28 and the Boss 302 also want to see pictures of the proposed station wagon or fastback?
