Easy to install
If you have well water this this a must to keep sediments out of your washer. The newer washers do not operate when there filters get dirty. I installed two, one my cold and one.on the hot water

Pre-filter works great!
The first time that I flushed my pre-filter was shortly after my municipality did a chlorine burn to clean our water lines! The water was very rusty! Since I had installed it with a whole house 3-stage filtration system a couple of weeks earlier, Iโm very glad that I chose to add the pre-filter. I believe that my sediment filter will last much longer with the pre-filter. Iโve been flushing my pre-filter every 2-3 weeks and the water is very clear. I think that flushing the pre-filter monthly will be enough.

High maintenance
Great design on these. Given the tiny overall size of the unit, the flush feature is an absolute must! It is built completely with high-quality components, and it comes with everything needed to plumb it directly into an existing line, so I think it is a great value. However, the little tablets it has for reducing scale are wicked nasty from a down-stream water quality perspective, so I had to ditch those right off the bat. In addition, they are extremely high maintenance in terms of trying to maintain water flow through the screen when you have any degree of debris that is in the water. The small stuff actually sticks into the screen, and these particles do not flush out with the valve, so I find that I need to remove the housing every week or so to blow it out from the inside in order to maintain decent flow. Generally, I flush it daily and blow it out every 7-10 days. Having well water that consistently supplies some fine silt into the water, I may be further down the particulate spectrum than those whose particulates originate from the piping itself (as is the case with, say, city water supplies), but I find this frequency annoying. It's way better than replacing a disposable filter every 2-3 weeks, though! I installed mine just upstream of my disposable filter, and I only need to replace it every three months now (strictly based on volume of water filtered versus a lack of flow through it). In that sense, I'm pretty sure it has already paid for itself after only three or four months of use. If the manufacturer provided a backflow loop with it (or recommended installing one), I think that would go a long way to alleviating the pitfalls of the tiny size of the unit. Doing so would allow the flush process to blow the water out from the *inside* of the filter screen instead of the outside the screen. In this way, it is likely one could go years without ever having to pull the housing off for cleaning or replacing filtration components.

1st was defective, but they stand by their product.
Great idea, but drain snapped from water pressure in 9 months. Old house with 30/50 water pressure. In the end I am sticking with the regular water filter. Update, seller reached out to me and gave me a replacement for the defective one, installed and trying it out.

quite small in size. The mesh gets dirty easily
The mesh gets dirty easily, because the filter is quite small in size.

No
0I didnt have any issues with it leaking. Just use plenty of Teflon tape and you'll be good. Only had it installed a few days so not sure how much crud it will remove but I'm sure it will work great

Broken Plastic 1.5 years after install
Cleaned the filter two weeks ago, woke up this morning to a half flooded basement. Plastic housing completely cracked off, only the threads remained in the upper metal piece. Installed March 2025

SEEMS LIKE A QUALITY PRODUCT
Product arrived quickly. Everything seems to be well made with a nice finish. One minor gripe. I had asked whether the Sliphos might clog the membrane in my reverse osmosis filter and received no response. There were no Siliphos balls in the center of the filter so I didn't have to be concerned. If I knew if it was safe for my RO filter I might asked the dealer to send them.
