Boar Bristle Brush for Shine and Texture - Stiff Bristles for Medium Hair/Beards, Cleaning Brush Included

I’m a believer in boar bristle brushes. I watched my husband groom his hair with synthetic products and when I wanted his original sheen to come back, I opted to get this. The size is good for his big hands, it’s a comfortable brushing feeling, and the bristles aren’t soft nor are they too stiff. The more hair you have, the more you have to push to get those bristles to your scalp to help distribute your hair and scalp’s natural oils. I normally use this even with tangle. I finger detangle to avoid excess breakage, then use the brush. Brushing with boat bristles helps with blood circulation. My husband has a classic hair cut from the 1920s/1930s so this brush helps distribute styling products evenly. My hair is hip length when straight and on oiling days, I use it to brush it through to my ends. It takes time but your hair does feel better as will your scalp. I grew up only using boat bristle brushes so other products are off the table. Even my three puls enjoy their own bristle brushing because it lifts their hair without pulling or yanking making tangle removal easier. DH loved this brush. He was impressed with the extra little cleaning tools it came with and I remind him to shampoo the brush weekly for maintenance. It’s a great brush. I recommend it. It does take getting used to but it’s the gentlest brush one can own.

Brush hairs are strong but soft when brushing. I like the little comb to get the hairs out. Great buy.

The smaller comb, the tiny brush, and, most importantly, the cleaning tool make this a fine entry level set for those getting into beard grooming. The cleaning claw removes dander and dandruff from the brushes pretty easy. There is some heft lacking on the brush itself, but what do you expect for this price? Decent starter kit.

It’s been one week so far but I’m happy with this purchase. The brush I received has authentic bristles and is working great. After looking at many different brushes on Amazon I felt like this one looked good per the ad photos, and the additional included items would be an added bonus if they were decent. The brush cleaning rake is plastic but so far seems like it will hold up fine and the flex it provides seems to aid in not damaging the brush (I didn’t seen any other brushes including this at the time). The little brush has a nice wood handle and I’m guessing nylon bristles which are very soft. Decent for a small short mustache & eyebrows but not much else. For the price I consider the extras freebies. The brush is pretty much the length of your average deodorant (in photo just for a reference). I feel like the boar brush should last a long time. I’ll make an update if anything changes.

Very nice set for hair and beard

The brush, accessories, packaging are great. However, the bristles are too harsh for my husband.
