Brother uses it for his BBQ

I use this torch to light fires in my offset smoker. Just lay some kindling and logs in the firebox, open the valve until you start to hear a hiss and pull the trigger to ignite it. Make sure that you don't open the valve too much or it won't light. Definitely keep it away from kids and men that act like kids! Come to think of it, I probably shouldn't own one of these.

It’s a little temperamental finding the sweet spot for a consistent flame but over all not bad, it does the job.

Way better than a normal propane torch

The instructions for this item state to remove the torch from the propane tank after use and cooled. When I detached the torch from the tank, the threaded part from the torch detached (broke off - see photo) from the torch and stayed stuck to the propane tank. The propane tank then started rapidly de-gassing and spraying propane out uncontrollably. Aside from the inhalation risks this posed to my health, I’m lucky nothing sparked the propane, which if ignited could have killed me or given me severe burns. I’m thankful I tested this alone and not around my family.DO NOT BUY!!!I have reported these safety concerns to Amazon, however given the response I received I doubt this item will get their attention despite the enormous LIABILITY it carries.
