Great introduction to the series
Enjoyed it as an introduction to series but the sound was iffy on first film.

Indiana Jones Lite!
I bought this boxset as I accidentally caught the last 10 minutes of the first movie on TV and thought it looked interesting, being a big fan of the Indiana Jones movies. The boxset i received is a Dutch import with Dutch writing and menus but its easy enough to navigate and the movies are the originals in English. I was a bit worried I'd be getting dubbed or subtitled versions.Al 3 movies are very good and are very definitely comedy-oriented with more than a few tongue-in-cheek pokes at the Indiana Jones movies along with many other popular legends. It reminds me a lot of the Warehouse 13 series. While its evident the movies are 'made for tv' they are very well produced with some good quality special effects and decent storylines. There was supposed to be a fourth movie in the series (possibly a theatrical release) but nothing has come of it yet.Very good and would definitely recommend for the price.

Region Locked
Could not play this DVD on any of my UK devices. I tried multiple DVD players as well as my PS4, but nothing worked. Highly disappointed, as there was no mention of a region lock in the description.

Great family fun
This is Indiana Jones for younger kids. It's tongue in cheek, with lots of comedy that kids will like. Suitable from age 8-9 to early teens, this is fun family viewing.Although Flynn Carsen (played by Noah Wyle) is the main character, he's a nerd hero and partnered by strong female leads. So girls will enjoy these films too. For her leading role in the first film, Sonya Walger received a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress on Television nomination.Note that this boxed set is in English language, with Dutch subtitles. It's not possible to turn off the subtitles, but they're easily ignored and the films are still good to watch. The first Librarian film was originally released on American cable channel TNT in December 2004. The Libriarian films were spun off into a TV series called the Librarians. Although set in the same mythos, the TV series has different actors and some different characters.

Noah Wyle in his best role
Flynn Carsen (Noah Wyle) is some kind of eternal student, he is curious, clever, motivated, permanently seeking for new wisdom... BUT he is totally blind for the realization that people want him to finally move on, getting a girl friend and move out (his mothers greatest wish), stop studying around and get a job (his supervisors and his student colleagues trying to get rid of their senior student). So finally he gets kicked out of university and faces himself thrown on the job market. He applies for the position of The Librarian, a very unusual post as he quickly finds out - when the sword Excalibur starts playing jokes on him and he is told by his boss to keep Pandoras Box better closed at all times - there is more than books in this library. Flynn the new Librarian has to accomplish missions to protect seldom artefacts and occassionally safe mankind, while a beautiful lady at his side usually has to save his (clumsy) back side from all sorts of trouble - And Flynn, you keep your travel expenses for the library low, of course, we will otherwise deduct it from your salary. Each one of the 3 Librarian missions is worth it! Excitement and fun in a great balance, decorated with some history and mystery elements.

Good to find in one place
Having found the second in the series always being repeated and the original only once I was glad to find that the whole trilogy was available as a single purchase. This was an import from Holland and was unable to remove the pesky sub-tittles but all in all they did not detract from the films. A good series and difficult to pick an outstanding one from it. They have plenty of action and tonue in cheek with some of the more remarkable situations they find themselves in and the method of extraction. The Librarian is very simular to the Indianna Jones films, the hero along with a side kick (an attractive femail in each case), who is there to fight his battles for him as he is given tasks to fulfill of finding various artifacts the more mythalogical the better, usually by solving puzzels using languages he is only usually privvy to. For mr a good series of films and I would happily welcome more if they were to be made, as ther is plenty of scope for them. Go on treat yourself and have a good viewig romp.
