A proven way to change behavior
I loved that this book didn't focus on one incentive or attitude leaders need to have - it really dives into the six concrete sources that need to change in order to get people to change. This book is practical and easy to understand. I've used it on everything from helping my children follow house rules to helping friends and family with their goals. I can even use it on myself! If you're looking for a measured, practical way to influence behavior rather than cushy ideals, read this book - there are even a collection of additional resources in the back and a course by the same name for individuals and teams, too.

Life changing!
I first read this book back in 2008 when it first came out. It completely changed the way I look at the humans, organizations, and the world. I love the science backed approach, but the real stories are sooo powerful. If you’re a leader or have any responsibility to get other humans to act/change, then this is the ultimate guide for you. I feel like so many approaches to changing or influencing people are based on some person's best ideas. The model the book teaches is supported by so many real examples and supported by great social science.

This changed the way I think about and approach problems/goals
I've been a fan of this since the first edition. The simple-yet-profound model in this book guides you into creating a strategy for any situation that involves behavior change—whether of others or your own. I like the new examples in the latest edition. This is in the top 5% of all books I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

A handbook for leaders that actually moves the needle
I loved the first edition of this book and have been using the change model it teaches for years. The book doesn't just teach a bunch of leadership platitudes, but enables leaders with a researched-backed methodology for actually changing behavior--your own, and more importantly of those you lead. The third edition offers new compelling case studies and updated practical examples of leadership. If you're responsible to lead anyone to accomplish goals, you need "Crucial Influence."

Great Book on Leadership
If meaningful change is to made, there needs to be a strategy of how to implement it. This book shares the different sources of influence that can help move the needle and even show how others are being influenced away from change. I thought this was very thought provoking and helps me approach problems in a different light.

Impactful Leadership Skills
I loved the variety of examples on how leaders can actually influence others' behavior. The Other Side Academy and Delancy Street examples are especially inspiring to me. The six sources of influence are now in the back of my mind anytime I try to lead others. Loved it!
