Well anodised, heavy duty adapters. Allowed me to mount 10 MM male thread rearview mirrors on my bike that had 8MM threaded holes for a fraction the overall price of the OEM mirrors I damaged.

I do not think it is 8mm too big, I think base screw is 10mm
