NIV Audio Bible in One Year read by David Suchet: MP3 CD

I play the CD on my hifi and David Suchet’s voice is so rich toned, clear and great to listen to. Each day’s reading covers a lot of verses so at my first day’s listen, I repeated it three times. Tomorrow, I intend to listen to the daily portion three times in the morning and then another three times in the afternoon. As the bible says “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God”. This is one time you can’t be guilty of gluttony. This is a banquet served by a rich toned waiter! On the CDs, a lady’s voice announces the month like (my first day’s reading) “September the 20th” and the book and verses which is very helpful and makes it easy to go back to the start of the day’s reading. This is the best purchase I’ve made on Amazon.

I am Disabled & l find it a great deal better & easier to listen to Audio books than to hold a book with one hand & l don't have to worry about turning pages over... Mr Suchet has a wonderful voice & it's in English..Most Audio Bibles are read by Americans...So it never sounded like me at least with this version it does sound just as if my Father, Uncle or Brother were reading the Bible to me.... Thank You Mr Suchet...May God Bless you always......

I am a christian but find the monotony of the laws to be found in the Old Testament a bit too much. I've always struggled with some of the more 'technical' books in the Old Testament because of this. However, David Suchet has come to my rescue! There is a reason why he is a professional actor and this product proves the point. Slip one of these CDs on your iplayer and the rhythm of the laws will suddenly speak to you. Now there really isn't an excuse for avoiding the OT.

It would be very helpful were there to be a clear index of book, chapter and verses with each cd so one knows what is there. Voice, diction etc is superb - even makes genealogical lists sound interesting!

British English. So easy to listen to. even without my hearing aids in it is clearly spoken - much better clarity with them in. A please to use and share when friends come round.God bless David for his perfect presentation of the Word of God.
