Wonderful - Snail Mucin that isn't Sticky!
VITAVELLE Snail Mucin Moisturizer for FaceI am a huge fan of snail mucin (slime) since it is wonderful for my super dry and sensitive skin. This compares to very expensive brands like TONYMOLY and The Saem which are Korean skincare brands. This contains snail secretion filtrate as the first ingredient which is something I always look for. This does not have a slimy texture! This cream sinks right in and I think that it helps to lift and fill in fine lines. It leaves my skin moisturized without being greasy. If you have never tried snail mucin before, this is an excellent one to start with. This one is scented but not overpowering. It didn't bother my sensitive skin. This comes in an amber glass bottle with a built-in pump. There is no expiration date but it should be used within 12 months of opening. It is made in Germany.#alcohol-freeKey IngredientsAntioxidant: Snail Secretion Filtrate, TocopherolSkin-identical ingredient: GlycerinALL INGREDIENTS BY FUNCTIONBuffering: Citric Acid, Sodium HydroxideChelating: Tetrasodium Glutamate DiacetateEmollient: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isoamyl Cocoate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Caprylyl GlycolEmulsifying: C12-20 Alkyl GlucosideMoisturizer/humectant: Glycerin, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Butylene Glycol, Caprylyl GlycolPerfuming: ParfumPreservative: PhenoxyethanolSolvent: Aqua (Water), Butylene GlycolSurfactant/cleansing: C12-20 Alkyl GlucosideViscosity controlling: Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6IngredientsAqua (Water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, C14-22 Alcohols, Isoamyl Cocoate, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Phenoxyethanol, Butylene Glycol, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Citric Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Tocopherol, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate

Scent throws me off but it is extremely effective
I was given the opportunity to test this and yes I saw "snail mucin" and I was immdeiately like SURE why not lol. I have to say I'd figured either it WOULD smell strange or they found a way to make it totally odorless. Either way I was prepared. Pumping the bottle a couple of times in my hand and working it on my finger tips to apply it to my face I DID catch a off smell so yeah it does kind of throw you off like "Do I really want to put this on my face?"Determined not to let it get the better of me on my face it went. The smell does go away after a little while or at least it's not as or noticeable. It really though does do a excellent job moisturizing your skin and absorbs so fast leaving your skin feeling silky soft and smooth. I've been using it after a shower and before bed and in the morning NOT washing my face but just showering quick to refresh myself and wake up and do a quick clean up. My skin at the end of my work day still feels very soft and not excessively oily or oily at all.So all in all I've had good experience with it. Snail mucin from doing a little research on my own is relatively new to being used in skincare products. Its purported benefits include moisturizing the skin, fighting signs of premature skin aging, healing wounds, and potentially helping treat skin cancer. From what I read it also has soothing and healing properties which helps calm redness, prevent new breakouts and also fade pigmentation, acne scarring, dark spots and marks. It does calm skin irritations and redness in 2-3 days.

This made my face feel more dry
Review for VITAVELLE Snail Mucin Moisturizer for Face – Anti-Aging, Soothing Snail CreamI'm in my early 50's with slightly dry, sensitive skin. This had a pleasant feel on my face (meaning I don't feel it!), no sticky or tacky feeling. Good ingredients. Very slight floral? scent, but I could only smell it when I held my nose to it. This would probably work better for someone with normal skin, this made my face feel a little dry, especially with the furnace running now 24/7. Not bad at all, but not for me personally.

Not for me. Stinky.
I was lured in by the snail mucus and afterwards noticed it said parfum in the ingredients. My skincare is all fragrance free. I’m not specifically allergic to any scents but you can develop an allergy at any time to fragrance in skincare so I just choose never to use scented skincare. Smells like they had a “bad” smelling moisturizer that they tried to spruce up with a stinky rose scent. It’s very overpowering. I don’t think my grandma’s skincare was even this scented. Other than that, it’s not even a great moisturizer. My face feels dry. I have actual snail mucin that does not have a scent pleasant or unpleasant, so I’m not sure why they felt they had to add this dreadful rose scent. Might be for someone with oily skin who can withstand the scent.

Contents Won’t Come Out Of The Bottle
I’ve tried everything to get this snail slime cream out of its bottle. Repeated pumping of the cap doesn’t work, and neither does pounding an open bottle onto my hand (with cap/top removed). I don’t know how to get this thick, probably congealed, mixture out of the bottle. What a disappointment. I can see the cream in there—just can’t use it.

Moisturizing
This snail mucin was super nice and moisturizing. It smelled really nice too. It felt like an alternative to the snail mucin everyone else has been getting on TikTok. I like the way it works on my skin and made it feel super smooth and clear!
