Excellent buy.
Very easy to use. Since these were for crafts I used a lil glue for a more permanent use

So far these have worked better than an adhesive backed pad.
I bought these to place on the bottom of wooden legs of a breakfast table and chair set. We previously used adhesive backed felt pads to dampen the noise of the legs on our porcelain tile floor. These first pads shifted and/or fell off the leg bottoms after a couple of years use. I pre-drilled holes for the new pad "attachment spikes" using a drill bit of slightly smaller diameter. I used my eye to make the hole as perpendicular to the leg bottom as possible. The felt will crush a bit with use to even out any slight deviation off perpendicular. I used a rubber mallet to tap the new pads onto the leg bottoms. After several weeks and some heavy use, the pads are holding up very well. These pads will raise height by almost 3/8ths of an inch. So far, so good, and I am satisfied with the results. They are quiet and still tightly affixed to the legs.

Stays on MUCH better than the sticky kind and better at not attracting dog hair.
I had removed the original plastic feet on the bottoms of our breakfast room chairs and bar stools because I didn't want them to scratch our wood floors. The stick on chair pads you can purchase in the home improvement stores kept falling off the bottoms of our chairs even though I had sanded them down a bit and cleaned them. They just wouldn't stick plus they picked up lots of hair from our dog. These pad are much "firmer" on the felt than the ones from HD. Maybe that's the reason they are better at not attracting dog hair (we still do get some but not nearly as bad as the others.) They are much easier to clean off than the stick on type. And most importantly our chairs now glide smoothly without scratching the wood floors.I remember reading other reviews about having to drill into the chair leg before hammering these in. Because we had removed plastic feet we didn't have that issue. These went into the original holes very easily and stayed in. If you don't have the holes in the bottom of the chair legs I would recommend pre-drilling a narrow hole so you don't split the wood.If I had to give one bit of advice I'd say to measure the base of your chair leg before ordering. These are available in several sizes so I purchased the ones that would be just a slight bit smaller than our chair legs and be less obvious. Overall I'm very pleased and would definitely buy them again.

They work.
Need to be gentle inserting/ hammering them. The nails tend to bend easily. Once in they work just fine.
