Excellent insert thread repair at a considerable saving over the common named brand.
These insert thread repair kits are very good and stronger than the coil type but they are rather expensive. I guess keeping the inner and outer threads of the inserts in sync to make the insert thin walled isn’t easy. This kit cost around half the price of the brand leader (with “time” in its name) and came with everything needed. The inserts have a shoulder so they can’t be wound deeper into the hole. The drill, tap and reamer for the shoulder recess are sharp and accurate. I repaired an injector clamp thread on a cylinder head in situ, saving a huge amount of work on it removed or a replacement. Delivered quickly. Highly recommended.
