The best book for young black women.
I bought this book when I was 16 years old and presently today I am a 35 year old intelligent, success, beautiful woman. This book helped me during my first break-up with a verbal abuse young man when I was 16 years old. At this time I had know one to turn to for help and at this age I wasn't allowed to date , so I sure couldn't speak to my mother about this issue. I love to read and gain knowledge even at this young age an find comfort in reading, so when I discovered this book I saw myself as fat, ugly, dumb , and i had a very low self-esteem. Please buy this book for your daughter, sister, cousin, and for yourself to heal old wombs and move on with life you are suppose to have. Please buy this book brand new so you can take full advantage of this great gift. This book gave me back my youth and strength to go on. I am now about to buy this book for my 16 year old step daughter and her cousin who is struggling with body image, morbidly obesity, and low self-esteem. Some women need this book and do some healing instead of walking around all bitter and making other people's lives horrible.

Great for Teens & young adults
I bought this book for myself based on a recommendation from my therapist (hey, don't judge). It is definitely designed for a younger crowd (teen - young adult). It expounds on the virtues of sex and not to just jump in the sack with anyone (remember, I said don't judge!). It is good for a bit of introspection. I then bought this copy for a friend's daughter. Definitely a good enforcement tool in today's hyper sexual world.

A must have for All teens
Absolutely Love this workbook. For over 10 ten years now I have been a fan of Inyanla Vanzant and her work. This workbook is a Excellent tool to have your teen have.I have given each female teen at age 16 this book wrapped as a gift with a pair of cozy fuzzy PJs in the past 10years. I am now ordering another copy for my youngest daughter whom will be turning 15. Times are changing! Actually the last time I gave this book out was 6 years ago!!I highly recommend it, I always write a dedication page and goals for the person I'm giving it to!!

We Are Failing Our Young Women Children!
They are suffering from eating disorders, being bullied, having relationships with abusive boyfriends, and having babies when they are not emotionally or financially ready for parenthood. And this continues the cycle of poverty and a lot that is wrong in our world.Iyanla Vanzant has written a practical book for helping young women get and stay on a path to a successful and satisfying life. It is done workbook style that can be written in so that progress can be charted.I gave this book to my teenage granddaughter and the teenage daughter of a good friend, and I am about to order two more for a couple of young friends who have great futures if they stay on their paths. And I know this book will help them.Iyanla's books for adult women are also worth a look.

This book
Is one worth having. It's perfect for every young lady that needs that extra boost of confidence. We may be broken and working on self and can't give the right guidance. This book helps with that. A must have. My daughters and little cousin finds it very helpful.

The book arrived and we like it. My daughter hasn't started using it
There appears to have been a misunderstanding between seller and our receiving agent which has been settled. The book arrived and we like it. My daughter hasn't started using it. The pages are colourful and bright and one cannot help looking and relooking at the pages. Eventhough I'm an adult I will definately be reading it. Thanks again and I recommend it. Enjoy.

Should be a must read for all sisters
I was gifted this book when I was 15/16 by my aunt and it was life changing. Iβm pushing 35 and just gifted this to my 13 & 14 year old. We should always remain a work in progress and focus on healing our trauma and being whole so that we may stop cycles of trauma. This is a great start IMO for children. Letβs be proactive and not reactive.

Love this
This book was purchased for me when I was a young teen and I really helped me to understand the importance of who I was as a young woman. I recently purchased this for my daughter and as soon as she received it she was all in. I would definitely recommend this for young teens.

Effective!
I bought this book for our 13-year-old daughter and have noticed an increasing change in her outlook on life. Though I haven't personally read the book, she has quoted and referenced 'Don't Give It Away', in a few discussions now which lets us know that it is effective. I'm so glad that a friend recommended it to me because I will be doing the same and recommending it to other parents of teens too!

Love Iyanla
Bought these over 15 years ago for my nieces, and now have two nieces aged 12, messages still as relevant today as then. Wonderful book, should be in schools. One for the boys would be great too.

Brilliant book for tween/teenage girls to develop their self esteem
I was given this book at 14 years old and found it helpful to process my thoughts and feelings and also to look back on 16 years later. Great present for young women, bought as a present for my goddaughter who is 11 years old
