Does the colour wash into the thread?

Hi, no it doesn't I found this little gem a great addition to my cross stitch kit I'm on my 3rd one. I still advise you do a small patch test though as different materials may react differently. I have never had a problem to be honest. Happy sewing!

Can this be used on painted rocks and ceramics?

Waste of money i don't think it would be suitable. Didn't have much use out of mine before it dried out.

is it suitable to use on wool felt ?

It is not suitable for wool felt as you have to erase the marks of the pen using water.
