The best pens ever! Love how thin they write. I have been using them since being a student (25ish years!)

These Pentel ballpoint pens are my principle brand and have been for many a year, in fact I don't use any other handwriting variety.I'm left handed and started using these and have never found a better designed or preferable writing pen. Left-handers push pens across the page this action with a majority of ballpoints results in bad ink flow, ink smudging and dragging tips. However this particular pen has an outstandingly super smooth feel with a wonderful ink flowing tip, thus making handwriting an altogether better experience, this is further enhanced by the slimline barrel making the pen comfortable to hold for long durations.The oil-based ink is high quality, rich in colour, quick drying, free flowing, with no skipping or unsightly ink smears. I highly recommend this product, great technological design, efficient writing aid and excellent value for money.Caveat: Way back it was possible to buy twin packs of replacement ink chambers (Pentel Refill Code: BKL7) for these pens however these are now extremely difficult to acquire, if not impossible.

BK77-A (Black) I’m having consistent trouble with this pen. This is the second batch I bought that has the same ink problem. Writes well for a few pages and then writes dry before needing to be coaxed with hard scribbles to get the ink flowing. This is something to be repeated.I had to comeback and say that this specific batch made in India is performing well. It is the batch made in France that didn't perform well.

I like thin pens and have tried many - these are one of the best - nice and long so that they feel great in terms of balance. The ink quality is very good and no smudges ever!

Good pen giving a fine smooth line of instantly drying ink which is important to me as I am left handed and as I write I draw my hand over the ink causing many other pens ink to smudge.The pens are fine to hold although for lengthy writing a more expensive pen with a thicker barrel would perhaps be better.I have used about 10 of these pens and no leaks, one even went into the washer without incident.They work without the bib jamming and continue until the very last drop of ink is used. The only minor thing that sometimes happens to me is with use the metal screw on nib holder at the tip of the pen slowly unscrews.

A nice smooth writing pen that was perfect for journaling as it does not smudge with a nice fine point.I always wait until I have used an item for a while before I review as I am sure most reviews are after short term use. These items are case in point.Pity after a short time of enjoying this pen, the ink is fading to grey then nothing, like the ink has run out.You can see from the picture that it clearly has not unless of course this is not the actual ink level it starts with.Waste of money and outwith return times. This has happened with every pen in the set as family members have been using from this pack also.

Love these pens, very lightweight and easy to write with. One negative I have is that when I am dotting my i's I have to apply quite a bit of pressure for it to show up. Overall a good pen.
