Worth it!
A lot of the negative reviews are user error. If you are familiar with installing screen protectors, you know how important it is to have an absolutely perfectly clean screen. No dust or hair can be on your device or around you while you are installing your screen protector. You have to be meticulous. Then get all the air bubbles out before you remove the top protective plastic film. This paper like protector is totally worth the price. I was on the fence bc of the reviews, but I don’t regret buying it at all! The texture is awesome and a huge improvement. I’m not sure what it’s made of…not glass, maybe a super thin matte tpu material?

Perfect - if it didn’t arrive dented.
The media could not be loaded. I’ve bought maybe 5 or 6 screen protectors for my 12.9 iPad Pro, with the last 4 being a paper-type protector as I do photo/video editing along with art using the iPad fairly often. Most of the screen protectors were on the cheaper side, and while they worked, there was always something missing - whether it be the screen was too rough for the Apple Pencil, or the glare made seeing the screen too difficult. So I decided to pay more for a change and try out Paperlike. Package came in, pretty much crammed into my mailbox. But it wasn’t until I was installing the protector, and peeling off the top piece of plastic that I really noticed there was a big dent in the product.I tried to do what I could without destroying the actual screen of the iPad to no avail, the dent was definitely there to stay. Even more unfortunately, the 2nd screen protector had the same dent in the same spot. Which I’m sure happened after the package began it’s shipping journey. With all that being said, I still wanted to see if it was worth the extra money. And I have to say that yes, it is worth the extra money.-The glare on the paperlike from other lights in the room is substantially less obvious from any of the other brands I have tried.-With this type of matte screen, there’s really not much of a way around there being SOME degree of blur caused by the screen protector. Though it’s apparent, it is just as visible if not slightly more so than any other paper-feel screen I have purchased.-when using the Apple Pencil, this is where this screen protector really shines. I often think of film grain when I think of these paper-feel screens, and this has the highest quality, and softest “film grain” feel to it. There is no adjustment period, it just feels like it’s supposed to feel. Which is fantastic in my opinion.-lastly, installation could not have been easier. They ship everything you need to essentially guarantee that you can’t mess up the process of installation. After a few hours of use, my only regret is that I didn’t pay the extra money to get this screen in the very beginning. With all that being said, the dent is just far too obvious. If you’re an artist of any sort, you know what I mean when I say that this dent just pulls me out of the immersive feeling of analog contact on a digital screen. I can’t help but stare at it, and constantly move my work to another side of the screen which just becomes a hassle.

Great texture, impossible to apply without bubbles!! :(
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE:Costumer service has been amazing. They quickly sent replacements, and the new one they sent me went on perfectly the first time (maybe from the first several times I tried to apply it from last time) but this is a must have for anyone using your iPad for procreate or morpholio for work. The texture is amazing, I love the somewhat anti glare, and their costumer service really did save this costumer. Very happy with my purchase! (First few photos are with my first two attempts, last ones are the flawless install from the most recent attempt)The feel of the screen is great, the only and most important thing is the application. I used BOTH sheets of my protectors hoping I would have a different outcome but didn’t. So there goes $45. I applied it like the video given in the instructions, I tried multiple times (it’s easy to take off and reapply) but at that point you get more fibers sticking to the sheet. I’m overall very upset as I just got a new iPad Pro and was hoping this would be magical, it’s quit the opposite and took me 30+ minutes of frustration. I would have rather bought a knockoff with the full frame installation kit for half the price. I will be reaching out to customer service.

Great feel, difficult application
tl,dr: It is hard to install, but the feel of it, both on your fingers and the Apple Pencil, is fantastic and the picture distortion is the least I've seen in this type of screen protector.Like many others have said, the installation is really difficult (this is my 3-4th iPad, so I've done this plenty of times). I followed the video instructions, there were several big snags for me: 1) they instruct you to face your iPad in a way that the little sticky tabs that hold the screen cover kit ends up on the back camera, so when I did their slide trick to put on the sticky tabs to the back of the iPad it got all messed up. 2) Laying the cover onto the iPad with the paper backing still attached (as instructed, to ensure I got the placement right after the sticky tab trick), introduced a bunch of paper dust after I had just cleaned the screen. So I had to do more cleaning, and wasn't able to get it all up; I tried peeling back the corner where there was dust and it ruined the first protector. 3) as others mentioned, when I peeled away the layer that I thought was on the underside of the protector it also peeled away the top cover which then made me have to slightly touch the "sticky" side of the protector to make sure I was peeling the right layer. All in all, it was not successful the first time. The second time I abandoned their instructions and installed the second one without the sticky tabs and peeled away the protective sheet just before putting it down. It worked better, but it's not perfect. I'm debating if I want to try again to get it perfect or not. *shrug*Despite all this difficulty in installation, the end result is fantastic. This version, 2.1, is by far the best paper-texture screen protector out there. It feels great both on your finger and your pencil, and it has very little distortion (my 2 big pet peeves with other screen protectors). So, at the end of the day, it is worth it to me, despite the difficult installation and imperfect final result.
